RumX and Swell de Spirit online tasting, March 2024. An incredibly complex nose with yellow fruit, especially pear, vegetal and floral notes. A rum that has waited a few years in vat before being bottled. The palate is sweet and fresh, like a light menthol. The William pear is present - you can even taste its grain - but other fruits, plants, flowers and a hint of sweetness create incredible harmony and complexity. The finish is long, balanced and harmonious. The alcohol is perfect. For me, quite simply the best white rum I've tasted to date.

This is one of the best unaged Rhums that I had (so far). The nose starts with freshness (cucumber, hay, lime zest, hints of mint) and fresh grain that that resembles a a really nice woodiness. On the palate it is sweeter than one would expect, adding pears, ginger and orange peel. Great! The finish more on the vegetal Agricole-ish side again and surprisingly long for an unaged. Additional honey and a few olives make a great ending.

Sehr ölig Viskosität im Glas mit dicken "Tränen" an der Glaswand. Nase: Grüne Oliven, Zuckerrohr und dahinter süße Zitrusfrüchte! Gefällt mir sehr gut. Die 64% ABV sind sehr zurückhaltend. Am Gaumen mit Schwerpunkt auf den floralen Noten aber wunderbar ausgewogen zwischen Süße, Frucht, und Agricole-Charakter. Sehr guter Rum und reiht sich sehr gut in die Verkostungsserie ein. Der als Referenz verwendete Neisson L'Esprit RX1058 bleibt aber unerreicht.

Starkes Teil. Geht für mich in Richtung meiner geliebten Agricole aus Martinique bzw. der Karibik. Hat für mich Zitrusfrüchte in Nase und Gaumen. Die 64% sind auf jeden Fall super eingebunden. Top Rum, bin auf die restlichen 7 gespannt :)

On the nose, I don't feel the 64° at all. I have a strong vegetal side that stands out. I've got a lovely smell of cane and lemon/lemon zest (which gives the impression of a ready-made ti punch). On the palate, the texture is unbelievably fatty and mouth-filling. It's very round, and you don't feel the alcohol at all (as on the nose). It's the same as on the nose, with less vegetal and more fresh cane. On the finish, however, the vegetal notes return and take over again.

28.03.2024 Retasting at Swell de Spirits Masterclass and I stick to my score. ------------------------ #4159 This one is the bomb, especially when looking at the price tag. Intense and really fruity with very nice Agricole "green" notes. Needs to rest for a good while before it gives up all its flavours, but once ready it's a great rum. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some mineral and very light nuts.

Al naso intenso e fine con canna vegetale, crema pasticcera, agrumi. Al palato caldo e un po' pungente, poi fresco e vegetale, infine scioglievole e cremoso sul finale con canna e soffice dolcezza di pasticceria. Un bianco superbo con un abv perfettamente integrato, che mi ricorda un po' il Bielle Baltazia. Oscilla tra 87 e 88

Hervorragender weißer Agricole und das für den Preis. Ärgert mich, dass ich nur ein Sample hatte. Der Alkohol ist wirklich extrem gut eingebunden. Eine tolle Süße, florale Noten, etwas fruchtig und Olive.

Wow, unerwartet fruchtig und süß. Wirklich einer der besten weissen Agricoles die ich bisher im Glas hatte. Das Grasige ist hier zwar vorhanden, aber doch im Hintergrund. Schade, dass ich nur eine Flasche bekommen konnte.
