My personal entry into the world of rum and what an entry it was. One of my best and closest friends gave me a bottle of Old Bert for my birthday. At first, I was very skeptical because I personally hadn't had good experiences with schnapps, whisky, and the like. But he assured me that this rum was nothing like my previous experiences, and he was right. The rum is perfect for beginners because it's very sweet, absolutely not harsh, and has great caramel notes. To this day, I'm completely convinced by this rum because it positively opened up the world of rum to me.
