Wow für mich unter den Savannas mein persönlicher favourite . Die Agricoles von Savanna haben diese extreme Aroma von Tahitivanille zusammen mit Muskatblüte. Die 61,9% merkt man wirklich null - der Rum ist perfekt ausbalanciert, komplex aber nicht zu anstrengend. An sich liefert er genau das, was ich mir vom HerrBlanc erwartet hätte.

This is a retasting and I stick to my initial score. ----- #4130 This is a very nice and well balanced HERR release and if you like the HERR mark you have to try this one. The ABV has been well integrated and the floral and fruity notes just come at you from a distance. Oily and warm on the palate and it draws pretty nice curtains in the glass despite its age. The empty glass has some nice caramel and pastries.

Tasted against RX15991. Both very good in their own way, that is: they are quite different, but I like (today) both equally well. While the 19-year-old Traditional seems really round, mature and smooth, the young HERR breaks out like a wild foal in several directions, first sweetish-perfumed, then smoky, finally tart-fruity with a tendency to gooseberries. Against the HERR Japan Tribute 1 (RX219), the HERR Japan Tribute 3 is a small light, but shines pleasantly independent because of its wild character with recognition effect.

Superbe Savanna. Le fût de HERR est omniprésent et enrobe un rhum très floral, mentholé au nez, fruité à souhait. Les watts sont bien là. J'aime beaucoup les HERR. Je ne suis pas forcément un fan des Savanna plus vieux. Celui-ci m'a beaucoup plu.

Messe-Bewertung: Sehr elegante, leicht erdig-kräuterige Nase. Am Gaumen ebenfalls sehr elegant und rund. Die 61,9% merkt man quasi nicht. Toller Savanna, leider kaum zu vertretbaren Preisen zu bekommen.

Little Savanna GA & HERR cross tasting: Nose feels young (and rightfully so). Focus is on floral notes. I get a distinct resin sensation and wood like notes from this one. Not much going on on the fruity side of noses here. There is also some wet barley in it. Definitely an interesting bottling here! Very „special“ on the palate as well. Sweeter than expected for me. Intense (and „different“) esters in this one. Rotting eggplant! Some resin and flowery notes again. Truely a special animal.

I love how this is heavy on ripe strawberries. Quite oily, a touch of vegetables and mint. Nice and fresh in a vegetal way. I added some drops of water to settle it down a bit and quite liked it this way. Thanks Rodolophe for opportunity to try this sample.

Ce japan herr 3 a beaucoup fait parler de lui. Son prix de sortie est très élevé pour un rhum aussi jeune c'est vrai. Cependant son profil très floral (le jasmin est très présent au nez) lui confère un profil très singulier que j'aime beaucoup.

An extraordinary taste experience, so right I could not assign him blind! On the nose I have first fermented cereals, fresh aromas, some fruit and artichoke. On the palate somehow what between artificial (plastic), and something fresh floral. The whole quite creamy oily and intense...this continues into the finish. I am ambivalent here: between brilliant and well!

Meine Erwartungen an einen Japan HERR Tribute waren sehr hoch und wuuhier nicht ganz erfüllt. Es ist ein sehr feines Profil, nicht brachial, eigentlich angenehm. Aber leider irgendwie unterkomplex. Vielleicht hätten dem Rum ein paar Jahre im Fass besser getan.

Delicious young Agricole with an intense HERR finish! Strawberry, papaya and almost artificial sweetness and fruitiness in harmony. I like it surprisingly well, could just do with a little longer in the barrel.

Direktvergleich mit RX1928: An der Nase kommt hier das HERR finish stark zur Geltung ohne jedoch den Agricole Teil unkenntlich zu machen. Gerade am Gaumen merkt man das junge Alter. Deutlich florale Note, das HERR Finish schlägt im Kombination hier in Ananas und Papaya um. Mehr Ecken und Kanten, aber auch mehr zu entdecken als beim RX1928. Dennoch eindeutig ein Oberklasse Rum.
