This is my first rum from Indonesia and they have done an OK job actually. This is a non pretentious rum with a very light nose and a non complex palate. The finish is a bit short with fruit and spices to it, mostly pepper and vanilla. The rum has no age stated on it but I'd say it's a younger rum based on the lightness.

On the palate peppermint, a well-present bitterness too, like over-infused tea. A sugar presence also almost too much for me. A rum not unpleasant either but which clearly won't be one I want to come back to much.

Definitely better than that licorice stuff. Has only a very slight nose, hard to identify, for me vanilla and caramel, as well as some banana. On the palate, an additional fruity note can be detected.
