Seasoned agricole fans who enjoy very dry, high-strength cane juice rums with sharp citrus, vegetal notes and powerful spice, and who like to add a few drops of water.
Beginners, anyone sensitive to high ABV, or drinkers who prefer sweet, smooth rums and are unsure about grassy, floral agricole profiles.

Une sacrée bête que ce Bielle brut de colonne ! Le nez dévoile de belles fragrances végétales et florales, suivies par un léger boisé, un côté épicé, des agrumes, des fruits exotiques et une touche pâtissière sur la pâte à biscuit. Le nez est relativement complet, mais on sent que le jus se retient d’être trop virulent. En effet, ça ne trompe pas une fois en bouche : les épices (gingembre, piment, réglisse, vanille) sont très vives. Le boisé vient ensuite avec des notes herbacées et terreuses. Les agrumes (citron) sont plus succincts, mais les notes pâtissières et confites donnent un brin de suavité en bouche. L’alcool est certes bien intégré, mais il reste très puissant au palais. La finale est longue, chaude, intense et fortement épicée. La canne à sucre et les notes végétales sont un peu plus présentes. Les agrumes et les fruits secs s’accordent avec les notes pâtissières pour donner un peu de rondeur dans ce profil ultra sec. Un rhum à boire en prenant son temps, afin de lui laisser tout le temps de s’aérer et de s’exprimer pleinement.

74.5°, yet with superb fruit and exceptional alcohol integration. The passage through the casks has added an interesting complexity, while keeping the alcohol under control. The Bielle hallmarks are also clearly visible.

Sympa pour l'expérience d'un rhum extrêmement concentré. Beaucoup de choses explosent au 'ez comme en bouche. Pour autant, à 74,5% d'alcool, c'est extrêmement chaud et mordant. Sympa à tester. Mais de là à avoir une bouteille, non.

Overall an Agricole that despite its intensity is so warm that you almost forget the high ABV that I tasted at the ExcellenceRhum very popular stand at Sweden (Stockholm) Rumfest 2024. It was first matured for 18 months in wooden casks and 12 months of rest in vats before bottled at its natural strength of 74.5% in just 279 bottles. The nose is complex and fruity with aromas of sugarcane, citrus and lime At the palate it’s intense, vegetal, warm and complex with flavors of sugarcane, lemon and licorice. The finish is long, warm and intense.

75 points. Resembles a Clairin in the nose. 2nd tasting, same note. Alcohol is very well integrated. I still like the nose a lot, on the palate this rhum is too floral and (please don’t stone me) way too agricole for me. There are some agricoles that I appreciate a lot but this one isn’t one of them.
