The sugarcane still shows through, with citrus zest and a little pepper. Tasted this single cask Bielle Agricole at the Sweden (Stockholm) Rumfest 2024 during an masterclass held by Excellence Rhum. It’s distilled in 2017 annd aged in Marie-Galante for 5 years in an ex-Bourbon cask before bottled by Excellence Rhum at its natural proof at 57,6% in just 229 bottles. The nose is intense and a little sweet with aromas of orange and marmalade. At the palate it’s intense, elegant, fruity and spicy with flavors of butter, citrus and wood. The long finish is complex and well balanced with the flavors persisting.

#6533 Running a pair of samples after picking up my wife from work. Watching the TV Series "Grave Mysteries". A very nice release as usual and the price tag is also acceptable. The nose is intense and light sweet with citrus, caramel, sugarcane and light honey. The palate is medium intense and oliy with nice citrus, wood, fruits and nutts. The finish is long and medium intense with roasted wood, caramel, citrus, spice and dried fruit.

Notes taken at Rhum Fest 2024, quick notes and a somewhat heavy palate, sorry :) Here we have: a Bielle 5 years on the fruit A rum: that resembles a beautiful orange marmalade Finish: woody and slightly bitter A real favorite! Stand was top.

Tasted before its 10-year-old sibling at RhumFest. A typical Bielle for me. The cane is still present. The lemon is noticeable. The finish brings a nice bitterness. It's rather pleasant, but here again I find the release price very high.

Sugar cane, honey, fresh herbs, no doubt about it, this is a Bielle! Unlike some of its overly sweet brothers, with aromas of anise, thyme and licorice, I find this one more balanced and interesting, thanks to lemon zest, green pepper and ginger. The finish seems older, with darker aromas, a little bitterness and an earthy edge. Original finish, but not too much for my taste.
