Solid rum with a good load of barrel and less high-ester. Initially caramel/honey on the nose, fades over time and lets spices/wood/leather come through. Fruit always present. On the palate and finish, likewise a balanced mix, with some citrus and mint dominating. A thick sweetness joins in.

Solid Clarendon in the EMB style with a decent price-performance ratio. On the nose, fermented fruit, vanilla, and a bit of glue. On the palate, spicy with banana, wood, and a light citrus note; the alcohol is noticeable but not disturbing. Of course, no comparison to the old vintage years, but still an honest, pleasant-to-drink Clarendon with a good foundation.

On the nose: Fruity at first, but once the rum opens up you get woody notes, leather notes,earthy notes, dry spice notes like cinnamon and toasted notes Taste: Minty notes, light bitter orange notes, woody notes and spicy notes and mouthfeel is slightly bitter at first. Then you get leather notes, earthy notes, some vanilla notes and hints of cocoa or chocolate notes with mildly dirty mouthfeel. Finish: Earthy, minty and some light menthol notes in the background at first. Then you get barrel notes, light citrus notes and roasted notes. Dry finish. Typical EMB profile with those earthy notes that appear once the rum opens up. Lacks of complexity and the overall flavour profile doesn't really stand out as anything interesting in order to receive higher score.

#5346 24.05.2025 Finally back after a very nice dinner at "Argentina Steak House" in Flensburg. Time for some samples backed by Psy Trance 2025. Nose Medium intense, fresh, fruity, ester, banana, light floral light wood, light mint, light cherry. Palate Round, warm, medium intense, fruity, overripe, ester, banana, light mint, spice, medium spicy, light raisin. Finish Long and warm, light spicy, fruits, light raisin, light citrus, ester. Empty glass Faint coconut, light cherry, faint chocolate, light vanilla, light glue.

Nice release. Especially the nose is lovely with fruit, some floral notes and glue. On the taste you get more wood and some bitter orange.

Nice solid Clarendon, drinks well. The nose is slightly intense, fruity-woody, raisins, vanilla and a bit of ester wood. On the palate, it's round and light with a slightly oily texture, spicy, woody, light fruity notes and raisins, slightly rusty. The finish is not very long, woody, spicy. A good rum for a nice evening.
