Not your typical Hampden with Esters upfront in your face. I find it kind of delicate and balanced really nice with the cask (refill barrel) which I assume held some bourbon before. It is really fruity with apples, pears and hints of pineapple and some creme brûlée. The finish is a real delight with some ester to top off this Hampden made bourbon.

A little Saturday-night sample that's sure to please! Here we have a good Jamaican with low Esters, going straight for the fruit, light woodiness, a nice (natural?) sweetness that sticks to the glass! The finish, with a hint of pepper or spice, is nice even if not super-long. A good moment without being exceptional.

I would never have come up with Hampden blind. The aromas are too atypical. Initially, I have an artificial wine gum fruit note on the nose, which develops towards yellow fruit and mango after some time in the glass. Later, a hint of creme brulee is added. On the palate, it is initially creamy and soft. The alcohol is well integrated. At first I taste a strong sweetness of honey and again creme brulee. Then comes some vanilla, light wood, allspice, delicate esters and finally cookie. I can't find any more fruit... The finish is relatively short with caramel, vanilla and later dried fruit. A good bottling, but Hampden? I doubt that here 🤷🏻

Hampden with an owh mark, I think. Quite a closed nose, but on the palate there's a touch of varnish and fruitiness, though not necessarily in an exuberant way.

I would guess that this is an OWH. Nice profile that reminds me more of Worthy Park than Hampden. However, the Mark is not my Hampden favorite.

I miss esters, smells fruity and tastes the same. finish is a little too spicy

Rather closed nose. Needs to be left to air for a long time. Discreet apple, crème brûlée, vanilla and wood. On the palate, wood dominates. Then fruit. A touch of fermentation. Acidic. Astringent. Long, warm finish (peppery).

Low ester profile with almost WP character. Still quite tasty. Somewhat biting on the palate with less than ideal alcohol integration - but within reason ... probably wouldn't have been so noticeable with more esters.
