A.A. Baker & Co. S.p.A. Australian Rum
Sipped neat, this is a strange one most tasters struggled with: cinnamon, plum and heavy vanilla over a perfumed, slightly musty base that several people found artificial. More than one reviewer said it reminded them of an old Don Papa. The 60% ABV stays oddly quiet, but the flavor leans candied and off, with anise poking through. A curiosity bottling, not an easy pour.

How does A.A. Baker & Co. S.p.A. Australian Rum taste?
Summarized by AI from community reviews.
Perfumed, musty vanilla-plum oddity Divisive and mostly disliked — perfumed vanilla-cinnamon-plum with a musty, artificial edge. A few found it drinkable and well-knit; several tipped it down the sink.

Last one for today, yeah really the last one, seriously now 😃 Probably the last for today and it's huge bullshit. Just barely drinkable, get rid of the weird stuff, what was it supposed to be?

Tastes slightly perfumed, spicy, slightly musty, cinnamon, vanillin. Unfortunately artificial flavors in the finish. Overall well integrated.

I expected a bit more from this bottling, but somehow it's neither here nor there. Unfortunately not my thing at all. Great to be able to try it, but nothing more. Sorry.

Phew, I can't assess this rum or put it another way - what is this? Somehow reminds me of Don Papa. If I can say something positive about this rum, it's that the alcohol is hardly noticeable.

Phew, I always find old stuff exciting, but here I feel like I have the predecessor of Don Papa in front of me. Artificially perfumed, wintry, tasting of cinnamon and plum with a hint of mustiness. I don't like it at all!

This sample didn't really appeal to me, vanilla sweet scent, taste of sweets, vanilla and sweet spices.

Blind tasting. Color light yellow. Nose of nail polish remover. Fruit, vanilla, sweetness. Taste alcohol, sharpness, vanilla, sweetness, cinnamon, mustiness. Finish short alcohol vanilla, mustiness, artificial. Not my cup of tea.

OMF - thats weird. Not much sweetened, but full of anise...? And many tastes that do not remind me anything...
