Opposite of TECA here softer smell but sharper taste

Ugh... Enough is enough... You immediately recognize Jamaica's high ester markers. But that's all we know. The result is something very chemical-looking, which can only be used to flavor other things. Not for drinking neat. For me, pure pleasure is a long way off....

Night tasting of the TECC/TECA Community Tastings by Mirco. Today: the three unaged ones. As expected with the two Marks, the rums are not entirely dissimilar and all the expected markers are there 😉 Nose: Rum 1 most pastry/bacon, rum 2 more fruity, rum 3 most fermented. Favortite: Rum 1, then 3 then 2 Palate: Rum 1 the warmest and thickest, rum 2 more stone fruit, rum 3 very dry. For my taste, 1> 2 > 3 applies here Overall, 1 is clearly the best for me, then 3 and 2 at the end - but without much distance. All delicious. Resolution: Rum1 = rx13569 SBS Origins TECA Rum 2 = rx13378 SBS Origins TECC Rum 3 = rx12601 Warehouse#1 TECA

Tasted blind as part of the Long Pond TECA/TECC community tasting: Similar to the 1423 TECA, but here not quite as many herbal flavors, but something musty and fermented fruit. Also belongs more in the blender category.

On-line tasting of the S.B.S origin series with Joshua Singh organized by rum explorer 24.2.2025 Today's masterclass will consist of two parts - today we will taste pure rums, next time we will compare in daiquiris. I'll add a cocktail evaluation later.

Kommt sehr ungestüm daher und ist sehr alkoholisch. Typischer Mixer.

Mirco's blind tasting TECA/TECC No.2: Almost identical to No. 1, unaged, but significantly more alcoholic and not as round as the TECA from S.B.S. Although the alcohol strength is the same, it is slightly more biting.

#4798 27.07.2024 Relaxing at home with some samples while finishing @Band of Brothers@ on Max. Nose Intense, ester, fruity, overripe, pineapple, light ginger, light cinnamon. Palate Intense, warm, fruity, banana, overripe, light ginger, spice, light olive, faint herbs, ester. Finish Very long and warm, intense, fruity, light caramel, light olive, banana. The empty glass has mint, stronger olive and some vegetal notes.

Significantly grassier than the other SBS Single Origin LP. Nice fruit notes.

Some herbs and olive, which doesn't suit me.

Online tasting of various TECA and TECC organized by Mirco. First of all, many thanks for the great split to be able to try them all side by side. Now I had to readjust a few ratings. First of all, I think this rum is definitely only made to be used as a mixer. On its own, this rum is more than tiring and not a treat. In contrast, however, it unfolds its full potential in a daiquiri. But there it really is a bomb. Pure a 5, daiquiri a 9 results in a decent 7 for me.
