Really good, complex and at the same time round 97 vintage with slightly dirtier notes on the finish. Great selection!

#6847 25.05.2026 Relaxing with a few samples while watching a new TV Series on Max called "Mean Girl Murders". A decent Caroni with a very high price tag. All the traditional Caroni notes plus some caramel, spice, light salt and fruits.

Integrated alcohol, round taste, mid strong oil tongue. But - thats all. ... Caroni is a distillery from Trinidad, producing at the time of its greatest glory a rum that was added at a ratio of 1:10 to the Navajo blend. It was too strong and strange to be pleasant on the tongue. In 2000, the distillery ceased production and closed. Only in 2010 did tasters appear who took a liking to the rum because of its special taste. And the interest grew. Caroni belongs to the category of "you need to try before you die" rums. I recommend it, Caroni is a truly unique rum.

The entire HTR aroma spectrum is fully played out, but unfortunately the alcohol is not well integrated - a shame, because there really was potential here.
