Paranubes Criolla Oaxaca 2022
Salty, olive-briny and vegetal, with meaty, smoky-green accents; reviewers call it unusual but fascinating, best for adventurous sipping or creative cocktails.

By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 25,000 bottlings, 280,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 50,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.

On the nose I first got stagnant saltwater puddle, but also hot dog water, olive brine, sun-dried bagasse and rancid coconut. From a distance I get sweet beets and a bit of that smell you get in humid Spanish forts from the sixteenth century. The palate is hard to describe but I get rubbery notes, salt-infused cane juice, blanched spinach, olive oil, and watercress. Someone with a better trained palate than mine might get lots of other nuances. The finish is short to medium but it’s got this fading sweetness reminiscent of artificial sweeteners (e.g. aspartame), and of course, the residual heat from the 54.6% ABV.
super meaty, not my cup of tea at all...
I just dont like the taste...
