Als „Bezahlung“ für eine spontane Aktion mit den Veranstaltern des GRF, kurz den Praktikant getestet. Was soll man sagen, beim nächsten mal mach ich es lieber umsonst. Dünn, Kraft- und charakterlos. Außer einer coolen Flasche ist nicht viel vorhanden…

I'll dare to give the Kong in the - admittedly well-made - gorilla bottle a second chance; maybe the right glass can bring more out. Previously tried at the 13th GRF, as a small side action 😉 and found very bad there. Nose: very spicy and artificially fruity, slightly floral. Despite only 40% it feels alcoholic. Initially pepper and vanilla with a hint of chocolate, plus orange but more like candied orange peel. Overall quite flat and one-dimensional. 5.0 Palate: oh man, thin, watered down, flat. Mainly spicy with pepper, nutmeg, artificial vanilla and caraway, slightly salty. Turns bitter at the back. I can't deal with this at all. 4.0 The nice blender glass unfortunately highlights the weaknesses. Way too high price for a way too insignificant rum.

Relatively undefinable spiced rum from Panama, but no wonder since the botanicals for automation are not even named. Slightly floral - spicy... unfortunately very thin and watery and therefore rather restrained in the aroma... Not to mention the overpriced price.
