If you like your Jamaican quiet, this is a gentle one. The nose reads Jamaican — fresh wood, vanilla, a little mango and green apple — but the funk is more hinted at than tasted, and several members felt it was thinned down. On the palate you get cinnamon spice, oak and a soft vanilla sweetness before a short finish. One taster sums it up as "a very light rum without it being boring".

Tasting evening with Dr. Django (Jamaica): Well, there's not too much to say about this bottling... it's just too one-dimensional. No flavor stands out or gives you any pleasure on the palate. Too bad

The weird Advent calendar day 21 Fruity floral nose... smells almost like Virgin Oak at least to me like fresh wood. Vanilla, a pleasant sweetness and a few fruits can be tasted. The Jamaica funk here is more to be guessed than really tasted.

Edit: Finally managed to try the sample set from TheDunderHut together with DomM. Very tasty this time, many thanks for putting it together. As always, it was a treat to be able to try these rare bottlings. The weird calendar day 21 Today I give it a good rating because I found it more than pleasant.

Spices, wood and and some fruits (green apple) on the nose. Very pleasant in the palate. Spices and wood (cinnamon) take the front seat. Nice vanilla sweetness ties the profile together. Thanks for the set, Artur!

Fresh fruit notes of mango, pineapple, baked apple, citrus fruits, accompanied by caramel, green pepper, and heavy influences from the cask. Pleasing aromatics with harmonious complexity, a rum that's pleasant to drink.

On the nose a Jamaican, on the palate I was no longer so sure. I suspected a Bles. Could be better if it weren't so diluted.

Thanks Artur for the special tasting set of rare Red-Heart bottles. A culinary journey to a past time. No 3 bottling has clearly lost complexity due to the heavy dilution. Still interesting.

Nose: Sweet, vanilla, fresh wood and at the end an alcoholic note. Yeah, you might guess esters. Mouth: Mild, fruity, then herbal spice on the tongue. Finish rather short but leaves a slight sharpness on the tongue.
