Albert Michler Distillery New Yarmouth 1994 Jamaica
Here's the surprise: for a 27-year-old cask-strength New Yarmouth, this one plays gentle. Overripe pineapple, red fruit and varnish on the nose, then fruit and polished oak on the palate — but tamed, more of an easy sipper than the intense NY94 several members expected. Real menthol and grapefruit brighten the long, fruity finish. Good, just not the wildest of its family.

Village'25 Nuremberg trade fair review. Tasted blind, as Jarek held out his glass to me. Of course I recognized New Yarmouth. One that I had wanted to try for a long time. Unfortunately, this one misses the connection to its competitors and seems a little thin. More of an easy sipper. But that doesn't detract from its quality.

Rather fruity and less intense compared to other NY94, probably continental aging? Not bad, but lacks some complexity compared to other releases.

A rum tasted at the Lucerne Rum and Gin Festival in 2024. A nose with fruits, overripe pineapple, red fruits, menthol, and varnish. The attack is mild with fruits, lots of fruits, and varnished wood. The finish, harmonious, is long and fruity. Mainly pink grapefruit and red fruits. A discovery and a rum that pleases a lot, unfortunately the price is in my opinion excessive.

#7023 10.07.2026 Evening is here and I'm ready for more samples. Listening to some nice track by Jumpstreet, Kundalini, Alienatic, Avalon and Djantrix on Spotify. A pretty good NY and the price tag can be argued. Intense profile with fruits, spice, roasted wood, tannins, leather and some diesel.

Trade tasting Village Nürnberg 25 … tried on Leo’s advice. Despite the rather high dilution for this vintage, surprisingly tasty. All important markers are there … nice pastries and baking spices as well as nice wood notes.

Beautiful new Yarmouth. Clean and round, nice and intense. Unfortunately, I miss the coconut notes that I always like so much in New Yarmouth. Unfortunately, there are better ones. But if you don't like coconut that much, you should buy it here

Typical NY 1994 with delicious aromas on palate and nose. The price-performance ratio is, in my opinion, not justified and so it remained just a tasting of this rum.

Classic NY 94 on the nose. On the palate rather smooth and wood forwards. A rather tamed bottling in comparison, yet tasty and enjoyable.

Trade fair review The Village 2025, Nuremberg: Most of what you expect from a 1994 New Yarmouth is there and by no means is the egg a bad rum. But somehow it makes a thin impression that fades quickly. Somehow too little of everything.
