Albert Michler Distillery New Yarmouth 1994 Jamaica
Here's the surprise: for a 27-year-old cask-strength New Yarmouth, this one plays gentle. Overripe pineapple, red fruit and varnish on the nose, then fruit and polished oak on the palate — but tamed, more of an easy sipper than the intense NY94 several members expected. Real menthol and grapefruit brighten the long, fruity finish. Good, just not the wildest of its family.

Un rhum goûté au Lucerne Rum and Gin Festival en 2024. Un nez avec des fruits, de l’ananas trop mûr, des fruits rouges, du menthol et du vernis. L’attaque est sage avec des fruits, beaucoup de fruits et du bois verni. La finale, harmonieuse, est longue et fruitée. Pamplemousse rose et fruits rouges surtout. Une découverte et un rhum qui ne plaît beaucoup, malheureusement le prix est à mon avis excessif.

Schöner new Yarmouth. Sauber und rund schön intensiv. Leider vermisse ich ein wenig die Kokosnussnoten die ich immer so gerne im New Yarmouth habe. Da gibt es leider bessere. Aber wer die Kokosnuss nicht so mag sollte hier zuschlagen

Typischer NY 1994 mit leckeren Aromen in Gaumen und Nase. Die Preis-Leistung ist aus meiner Sicht nicht gerechtfertigt und daher ist es beim Probieren dieses Rum's geblieben.

Messebewertung Village'25 Nürnberg. Blind verkostet, da mir Jarek sein Glas hingehalten hat. New Yarmouth habe ich natürlich erkannt. Einen den ich schon lange probieren wollte. Leider verpasst dieser ein den Anschluss zu seinen Konkurrenten und wirkt ein wenig dünn. Eher ein easy Sipper. Was seiner Qualität aber keinen großen Abbruch macht.

Messeverkostung Village Nürnberg 25 … auf Anraten von Leo probiert. Trotz der doch recht hohen Verdünnung für diesen Vintage doch überraschend lecker. Alle wichtigen Marker sind da … schönes Gebäck und Backgewürze sowie schöne Holznoten.

Classic NY 94 on the nose. On the palate rather smooth and wood forwards. A rather tamed bottling in comparison, yet tasty and enjoyable.
