Didn't come in expecting much, but for my palette this is fantastic. A strong fruity aroma followed by a soft fruity taste and finish. Only negative I can think of is that it's too sweet.

Original impressions from 2017 rum calendar. Nose: ** Taste: * Overall: ** ”45% Guadeloupe” Having tried this again there is a strong tobacco/leathery scent on the nose along with some vanilla, banana and an alcoholic resemblance to cognac. The nose is better than the palate, here I only get the smoky woody taste and none of the fruity flavours the nose hinted at.

Un de meilleurs rqp du marché. La rondeur d'un xo tout en laissant la canne s'exprimer. C'est le nouvel embouteillage (depuis la fermeture de la distillerie) mais il reste très similaire à l'ancien que j'avais adoré. A l'odeur du bonbon et pâtisseries. En bouche les épices et les fruits se font plus présents avec la vanille, le cafe, les fruits jaunes et le melon. Le tout avec un bois trés fin. Pas de fausse note sans pour autant en faire un rhum d'exception.

Ein sehr schöner Rum, gefällt mir. Ist in der Nase überwiegend holzig und nach Fass riechend, aber auch etwas Vanille lässt sich erkennen. Am Gaumen irgendwie ein dunkler Rum, Holz, sowie würzig und rauchig, aber auch dunkle Schokolade ist erkennbar.

I’m a fan of Agricole from Guadeloupe and this one is not an exception, but it can’t compete with the best ones. The nose is fruity and woody with scents of banana, citrus and vanilla. At the palate it’s sweet, fruity, spicy, woody, fresh and round with flavors of banana, citrus and vanilla. The finish is quite long, dry and spicy.

Arf, nez sympa avec une petite poire cognac qui fait plaisir, bouche un peu simple mais efficace, par contre la finale est super courte. On a vite une impression de rhum un peu plat et sans grand intérêt… manquait pas grand chose !

Un guadeloupéen peu gras comparé à d'autres. Un joli boisé relativement doux et une sucrosité très agréable. Un agricole assez simple sans prise de tête qui se boit tout seul 🙂

Here you get what you pay for. Fruity and sweet with spices and lightly roasted wood. I would probably use this one for mixers and baking.

Al naso è leggero con frutta(tropicale e non), tabacco, cioccolato al latte, barile leggermente tostato. Al palato è fruttato in primo piano, poi ha qualche sentore medicinale, qualche spezia, leggermente boscoso e floreale sul finale breve. Si sente la diluizione, non ha abbastanza carattere, ma è piacevole da bere. Nel bicchiere vuoto frutta e legno

Très végétal, la canne reste très présente, c'en est surprenant pour un Xo d'ailleurs. Au final ça manque un peu de complexité. C'est pas mal mais sans plus.
