The nose is very tropical and fruity at first and after some time shifts to vanilla and strong spicy. Some wood comes in. On the palate it spreads creamy and intense with a hint of vanilla, then plenty of allspice, licorice, salt and later papaya. The finish contains tea, wood. A good strong bottling.

Thanks to Venomino who brought his treasures from abroad and split them. Slowly I'm really starting to like Clarendon again. Another great bottling from the 2002 vintage.

#4204 This was a really nice surprise and I would have loved a bottle on my shelf. Unfortunately it's a very rare bottle today. Intense and fruity with very good balance between the elements and well integrated ABV. Fresh and dry palate and it draws really nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass is nice and has some smoke and anise to it.

//update: rating confirmed, really like th dry finish Really fruity on bananas & tropical fruits. Dry finish, slight astringency. Well balanced alcohol, powerful without being too present. Really like it!

Strong nose... peach, papaya, and banana, some candied sugar and light esters. On the palate rather green banana and some orange, a bit of vanilla and licorice. All in all quite solid but not really 100% my thing.

Already quite sweet on the nose, alongside tropical fruits and rusty aromas. Also pleasantly sweet and fruity on the palate, with just the right amount of wood. Very tasty, I'd gladly have a whole bottle of this.

The alcohol is well integrated! Initially very restrained on the palate, then it comes with vanilla, salted caramel, sweetness - gradually more tea and clearly astringent on the finish. Too dry for me.
