8,4:On the nose, esters and glue, funky, vinegar, spicy wood with vanilla, smoky and bacon, baked apple, sweet molasses with honey, lemon, banana, green apple and pineapple, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the molasses is fresh, grassy, flowery and herbaceous, earthy with tobacco, nutmeg and hazelnuts arise. 8,4:On the palate, the attack is dry, medicinal and creamy with green molasses, herbaceous, flowery, sweet with honey, vegetal with thyme, hints of sage, celery, later hints of licorice, spicy wood and ginger, vanilla, fruits like banana, pineapple, hints of guava, lemon.The molasses becomes candied, earthy with tobacco, musty, grassy, bicycle tube hints come out, when the rum is well oxidized. 8:The finish is medium long, dry and slightly tannic, medicinal with esters, the molasses is sweet with honey, herbaceous, earthy with tobacco, the oak is smoky and spicy, a bit resinous, as the fruits are citrus and tropical. Edit:10.4.26, an upgrade to 8.3

Oh wow, what is this? The nose is quite good, quite fruity, thanks to citrus fruits and pineapple. On the palate, really cool, herbs, pineapple but also quite creamy and medicinal this one. I like it :)

Super fruity flowery stuff. In the nose not unlike Jamaican/Hampden/Long Pond rum but also not a simple copy. More candied in the taste than smell.. Lots of tropical fruits. Some dryness/tannins in the taste. Even a whiff of peat. Sweet cinnamon. I simply love this. Many great flavours. Peppery aftertaste. Again those old Duncan Taylors were "bang for your buck".

A clean profile, a bit too clean actually. Pineapple, glue, lime and white pepper. The finish is fruitier, like warm apple compote.

11.04..2019 Enjoying some samples at home. Colour Light in colour. Nose Light wood, ester, faint smoke glue, fruits, light pineapple, spice, light licorice. Palate Intense, warm, light wood, ester, fruits, light glue, spice, faint smoke, light licorice, spicy, light citrus. Finish Long and warm, light wood, spicy, light varnish, light licorice, citrus, ester. Needs to rest for a good while to really open up.

For me, this is a great rum that offers me a spectrum of flavors that I have never experienced before. Very sweet on the nose with pineapple, baked apple, honey, a little smoke and esters - really funky! Similar aromas on the palate, significantly more tropical fruit, but also herbs and tobacco; too creamy, but also slightly dry. Alcohol perfectly integrated.

very harmonious Fiji if you like sage, bicycle hose, nutmeg, cardamom and some honey. dry and smoky but not as much as I am used to from other Fiji's.
