Nez : belle coco grillée, fruits presque jamaïcains, creme brulée ? Bouche : mix long pond & coco/vanille assez équilibrée, facile à boire Franchement enivrant, on a envie d’y revenir direct. 8.9+ trop facile/cool à boire et pourtant complexe ! J’ai adoré.

We continue with the Masterclass samples. A super blend that combines fewer opposites than the "Utopia" blend from Vagabond. This one is rounder, more finely tuned and more elegant. Different and just as good. Very finely blended!

On a à la fois des le nez le côté un peu sombre de long pond dans son aspect fruité et torréfié, puis le soleil de la vanille dans son coco caramélisé ! Petite domination de Belize qui accompagne d’avantage la fin de bouche! Étant fan de cette destination gustative, j’ai apprécié la « variante » dancehall de cette cuvée !

Nez : un vrai mélange. On sent vrmt la coco du Bélize et le ms esters long pond. C’est super bien fait. Bouche : le mélange reste là, on a la coco et la vanille mélangée à la compotee de fruits tropicaux / du cuir / un peu de torréfaction Super bon

Dégustation online RumX et Swell de Spirit, mars 2024. Le nez fait penser à une vieille maison en bois avec du cuir, du vernis mais aussi des fruits assez vifs, noix de coco et carambole. La bouche est plutôt du côté noix de coco et pâtisseries avec une belle complexité d’arômes. La finale, longue, revient sur le bois vernis, le cuir et beaucoup de noix de coco. Un très beau blend qui associe avec pertinence les qualités des deux rhums (Long Pond 2006 et Travellers 2004). Le Bélize arrondit les angles et le jamaïcain apporte fruité et fraîcheur.

Swell Masterclass RumX 28.03.2024 Also ich zieh mal kurz meinen Hut vor Mika. Ist echt ein klasse Rumblend. Harmoniert echt sehr gut miteinander. Wobei ich sagen muss, dass ich auch das Etikett super gelungen finde.

Well executed blend. The Traveller‘s part is well acomapied with some Jamaican notes from the low ester LP. Fruits, coconuts and chocolate. A bit peppery on the palate, but very enjoyable experience. Tasty! Cheers to Mika and the RumX team for making the master class possible. Very nice line-up!

Auch super lecker. Hat meiner Meinung nach eine schöne leichte fruchtige Nase von tropischen Früchten wie Kokosnuss und Banane. Setzt sich im Gaumen dann genauso fort. Echt ein leckerer Blend. Still 6 to go.

Überraschend komplexer, sehr aromatischer Blend aus Belize und Long Pond! Belize bringt die schönen Kokos, Banane und Karamell Noten mit, sowie etwas überreifer Ananas. Long Pond bringt dreckige, fast schon vergorene Ester Noten mit und intensiviert die Feuchtigkeit aber bringt auch diese heftigen fleischigen Esternoten und den Funk mit. Extrem aromatisch und lecker, der Long Pond dominiert über die Zeit zwar, wird aber vom Belize ausreichend gestützt um maximal süffig zu sein. Sehr schöner, runder und komplexer Blend!

Nose Fruity, light wood, floral, marzipan, light Palate Light, oily, warm, vegetal, wood, tannins, fruity, pineapple, light ester, naturally sweet. Finish Medium long, warm, oily, light mint, fruity, light wood. The empty glass has some tannins, vanilla and faint chocolate

Auf jeden Fall ein schöner Blend. Nichts verrücktes, aber schöne Mischung aus ein paar typischen roten Long Pond Noten - bin aber nicht sicher ob ich sie ohne die hilfreichen Erklärungen erkannt hätte - und dem Travellers. In der Nase für mich unerwartet zahm. Da kommt eher der gebrannte Zucker aus Belize zur Geltung.

Auch hier wieder ein sehr guter Rum Swell de Spirits. Definitiv sehr interessant, die tropischen Früchte dominieren im Geschmack und im Geruch. Aber ebenso kommen Noten von Karamell, Vanille oder auch Kokosnuss hervor.

Tasted this at SDR23, so my review remains rather concise. This rum displays both on the nose and on the palate a similar, coherent profile. Very Belize forward, especially on the back of the palate: coconut, burnt sugar and vanilla. Very sweet. The LP component does rear its head occasionally with spots of red fruits and freshly mown grass. It’s a pleasure to drink and an exciting thought experiment, but I personally expected a little more.

Jamaica meets Belize: a blend of the seventeen-year-old Long Pond and the fifteen-year-old Travellers Rum, which were also bottled separately, with a slight dilution to 59%. Exciting interplay between nose and palate - the olfactory associations are still dominated by the Belize profile with lots of caramel, vanilla, oak and coconut, while on the palate the Long Pond is much more prominent and leaves the stage to the tropical fruits. An exciting experiment that also works perfectly in terms of alcohol integration.
