I killed this bottle last year and I'm inclined to buy a new one though the price has gone past 1000 euro. Lightly fruity with a warm and spiced palate. There is a bit of caramel and chocolate in there as well and if you leave the glass for the following day it's very clear.

I Bally delle vecchie annate sono incredibili! Intensi e fruttati nonostante la bassa gradazione!

The emotion of drinking an aged rum, even if it has spent most of its life in the bottle. A very dry nose with a slight earthiness and vanilla. Lots of finesse and elegance throughout. Tropical fruit on the palate, pineapple and banana. A surprisingly long finish, with sugarcane and fruit. I'm sure the rum continues to evolve in bottle. Not as strong as the Courcelles 1972 at 47% and 54%, which have a broader aromatic palette, but a very fine rum all the same.
