Then there's No. 18 from the La Route des Rhums Advent calendar. A white agricole, which is very herbal on the nose. Sugar cane can be detected on the nose and palate. It also tastes slightly fruity.

A very smooth agricole rum, a bit too much for me. Tasted neat, vegetal and sugarcane notes are present but very fine. The alcohol is well integrated, it should go well with lemon.

A fairly sweet agricole, with a hint of cane, but perhaps not enough for me. It's vegetal, slightly fruity but a little short. Tasted in good company at Nu for the Dugas X Bar 1802 evening!

#5360 28.05.2025 Running some samples while listening to some Goa Trance on Spotify. Nose Medium intense, fresh, sugarcane, light citrus, light iodine, light cherry. Palate Fresh, medium intense, fruits, sugarcane, light cherry, berries, light vegetal. Finish Medium long, sugarcane, light citrus, berries, light grass, naturally sweet. Empty glass Light iodine, berries, light citrus, sugarcane. Price to quality is very good and a must try for most.

Very fragrant nose of lime with a bit of herbal notes. The palate is soft and indulgent. An ideal rum for ti punch, with an ideal alcohol level to enjoy without getting a headache. The finish is average with these citrus notes and its slight pepper typical of Martinique.

Blind Avent 2024 Medium. Nose: Cane without much, a bit of lemon, nice. Palate: a bit of earthy soil, a bit of bitterness at the end. Medium length on spices and earth, meh. Round rum, nice but nothing special.

The bottle killer from yesterday's aperitif: Le Tjé Kann 2023 from La Favorite. "Tjé Kann," meaning "heart of cane" in Creole, highlights the importance of sugarcane in its conception. This bottle was bought directly at the distillery a year ago, almost to the day. I particularly appreciate its rich and well-balanced aromatic profile, both on the nose and palate. It's really focused on fresh cane, and it's a total success! The finish is superb, blending cane and spices. Definitely the perfect companion for a Ti Punch!

Tasted at the Dugas salon, really impressed by this rich aromatic profile, well balanced on the nose and palate. It's really focused on fresh cane and it's really successful! Nice finish on the cane and spices!
