La Favorite Tje Kann 2023

One taster called it "porté sur la canne fraîche" and that's the heart of this white agricole from La Favorite: fresh-pressed sugarcane front and center, green and grassy, with light lemon-lime and a hint of cherry and berries. At 48% the alcohol sits cleanly. A few people wish it hit a little harder, but most find it round and easy.

The community says
  • Fresh sugarcane
  • Grassy and citrus
  • But: A bit soft

Avg Rating 8.1/10 over 220 Rums

La Favorite is the last working distillery inside Martinique's capital, Fort-de-France, and the island's longest continuously family-run house. Five generations of the Dormoy family have made rhum here on a 1906 steam engine that still turns the mill. It is agricole at its most unvarnished, and the community treasures its old La Flibuste vintages as some of the finest aged Martinique rum there is.
