Review by Kieron Wood
I had this at tasting selection , on first nose it's harsh and very overpowering in the grassy and wood notes. I was told to add a drop of water and it changed complexity completely , don't get me wrong the grass stayed but immense flavours of chocolate , cherry and cask notes . At this percentage it's dynamite the only thing that lets it down is price but that's why is scores 9 and not 10... 9nly joking 10

complex rum - very long aftertaste, beautiful wood

18.11.2023 Another retasting and I stick to my initial score ☺️ --------- Price to quality is very good on this particular rum. The nose is fruity with pastries, spices trailed by llightly roasted wood and caramel. Almost like walking into a bakery on a Sunday morning. The palate is oily and well balanced between the wood, fruits and spices. The finish is long, warm and lightly dry with wood, spices and dried fruit.

Caramel blackberry chocolate vanilla brownies on the nose with roasted nuts on the nose, taste then surprisingly quaffable and not too alcoholic for the young age and just under 67%. sweet, bitter and salty at the same time with notes of mocha, fruit bread and lots of spices. very tasty.
Review by Joël
Promising on the nose, but unfortunately the alcohol stings on the palate. PLV is OK.
Review by Léo Delek
It's the wood that comes first in this rum, with a Souffre note that I find a lot in aged high proofs. It's almost like a fresh plank.
Review by Radek Brix
Very pleasant aroma full of spices, alcohol is almost not felt, the taste initially makes the tongue tingle and then goes into a very long pleasant finish, where the flavors of caramel and dark chocolate blend.

I preferred the balance of 2008, but it is still a good rum, albeit with a different character
Review by Frank
Yes, the alcohol is already pulling properly. In the foreground a woody-spicy nose with dried apricot and some sulfur, reminiscent of sherry. In addition, some blackberry and cherry. But above that spicy wood, cedar and leather. Adds a chocolate note and some green sugar cane.Alcohol is also very present on the palate at the start. Comes salty-bitter with decent pepper, nutmeg and bitter orange. Licorice at the back and increasingly grassy. The finish remains bitter and grassy. At the end, the sugar cane also comes through.Too bad that the alcohol is not so well integrated.
Review by ChristophFFM
The alcohol is not well integrated. Too pungent on the nose. In the mouth, it tastes srhr sharp at first. This is followed by roasted flavors, a chocolaty note and a woody note. Towards the finish very pleasant.
