TCRL Trinidad #27 2006
People who like a chocolatey, coffee-leaning Trinidad sipper are the natural audience here. Expect cocoa, hazelnut and cappuccino with vanilla and caramel up front, then it dries out into wood, pepper and a touch of bitterness. One taster pegged the nose as "milden Cointreau" with orange peel. At 56.5% the alcohol can read a bit sharp, and several found it straightforward rather than deep.
- Cocoa and hazelnut
- Creamy cappuccino note
- Dries out nicely

How does TCRL Trinidad #27 2006 taste?
Aggregated from 59 community reviews.
Chocolatey, coffee-tinged Trinidad with dry finish Most tasters land around solid: chocolate, nuts and coffee over a dry, woody finish. The recurring catch is it's straightforward and a little hot, with some wanting more depth and less sweetness.

On the nose, I definitely have to think of mild Cointreau. In the taste then rather coffee and Christmas cookies from the Caribbean (coconut). Rather atypical TDL with neat chocolate.

Beautiful 🍫 charged rum.
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
delicious, relaxed Sipping TDL, light mint freshness in the background and in addition creamy cappuccino, milk chocolate, brownies with blackberries and black pepper and some orange peel and neat barrel. First sweet then dry and very creamy.

Very tasty, strong chocolate and hazelnut notes in the nose and taste. Drier than this description suggests. A good addition to any rum shelf

Could be a little less sweet.

OK, no flaws but not really inspiring as well, would not have been able to attribute this to Trinidad, which can be considered a good thing: I do not like the products of Trinidad Distillers that much. A bit shy on the nose.

Beautiful TDL rum with mint aromas. The profile is there but rather flat.Ausgewoge fruit and spice.

Compared to the Rum Runner Trinidad, which I had in my glass at the same time, it is much more pleasant and more clearly Trinidad. But also not a real winner, there are better bottlings from 2006.

Good Spanish style!

Alcohol not as well integrated as I think, comes across relatively sharp for the relatively low %. Somehow too sweet for me. Still available 6 years after release at the price of the time with a relatively small production run 🙄.

Solider Rum, jedoch eine Fehlnote die mir nicht gefällt.
