Neat WP with the typical markers (banana, spices, milk chocolate) and a lot of rum for the money. Strong bourbon impact. The 19 tropical years I do not quite believe. Possibly rather 19 years with a part tropical?

For 17 years tropical, for the price it's really okay. Not an absolute knockout, but as a starter for a nice evening quite usable.

Surprisingly good! Very malty & bourbony on the nose, initially thought I was smelling a whisky. Vanilla, young Bananas and some chocolate fudge on the palate. Unfortunately the alcohol ist not very well integrated which keeps it from a higher score.

My RumRatings review from 3 years ago: On the nose, the rum surprises with lots of fruit and a good barrel influence. It's probably not a high ester rum. The rum is nutty with a nice spice. Vanilla and burnt sugar. Dried yellow fruits and roasted aromas. The bourbon barrel comes through well. On the palate, the rum shows a nice sweetness, lots of spice and a good barrel influence. Wood and pepper with vanilla and a good whisky note. Wet wood and bitter substances accompany the rum which becomes increasingly dry towards the finish. The barrel notes with burnt wood and sugar remain. The rum lingers quite long. I would guess a Moneymusk from the Clarendon Distillery or a Worthy Park, as it is more of a spicy Jamaican. The barrel influence is high. The bourbon and whisky notes are present but very well integrated. It is somewhat one-dimensional and somehow lacks warmth. A good sipper for daily drinking.
