The nose is not very expressive. The palate is more so with rather sweet fruit and indulgence but quite quickly it turns to peppery woodiness with a dry and slightly bitter finish. It lacks a bit of pleasure.

A selection of 2 Bielle barrels, bourbon cask brut de fût, quite classic for the distillery, although coming from the RVMG warehouse, both on the nose and palate. The best 2015 vintage from the distillery tasted so far. Gourmand, powerful but contained. Sipped

Classic independent bottler Bielle. The typical Bielle markers of orange/butter are well present with the smoky side of the sherry especially in the finish which stands out more and takes over. Alcohol not very well integrated with a strong alcoholic feel… I had to let it air out for a long time (1h) so it attacks less even though I like the watts as a base.

A phantasmagorical rum as bielle knows how to make them. Top-notch packaging: wooden label and hemp rope to recall the turning screw of Leonardo de Vinci, visionary of the helicopter. Even a little gift with this "remove before flight" key ring... First batch of a very promising collection
