Toffee, vanilla and dark chocolate lead, with dates, raisins and a light spice edge from this 8-year Peruvian column-still rum. Most tasters find it soft, sweet and easy going down, if a touch too sweet and short. A few pick up a slightly artificial back-aroma note. Pleasant and mellow rather than deep — one reviewer called it "basic, classic and boring."

Now, try to imagine tasting this rum, like I do. You put your nose closer to the glass with this golden color liquid. You smell the content and suddenly, you appear in the country called Peru. You can smell the rainforest nature with clear view on the forested mountains, you can see wooden houses of the local people. The smell of the air is refreshing with something earthly in it, it is the smell our ancestors breathed long time ago. The taste of the liquid is sweet, but strong, woody and smokey. Just let´s your tribe sits with you around the campfire and let the rum control your emotions, let it help you to relax. In a while the local shaman starts to sing Icaro and you dive into this song continuing drinking in peace. After your glass is empty, you can wake up. ;)

Overall: Subtle to a fault Nose: Almost imperceptible but I get a hint of toffee and vanilla. Mouth: Toffee and some coffee notes. Finish: Short with fading notes of the toffee, vanilla, and coffee. This is an easy rum to like because it’s so easy drinking. It just lacks the body and flavor staying power to be anything really interesting. Like so many reasonably priced Spanish style rums it dissipates quickly and despite the long aging has a very light character.

Quite a particular rum. Strong taste of alcohol but leaves a balance of sweetness and spice together. Must say that it is pleasant to have in short sips and possibly good combination for cocktails. Overall it is not a bad experience but can be better. Not suitable for those who are new to rum.

ve vůni jemně citron nebo citrus a hodně nějaký ředidlo , který se vytratí a zůstanou oříšky a hrozinky chuť úplně jiná než vůně- hutna, nasladla, konzistence medová, hladká, mnoho chuti, který se prekryvaji (oříšky, káva, čokoláda, vanilka,...)

Heute ein paar Rums von Rum Paradise, sind aber alle im unteren Durschnit. Dieser Rum Nation ist auch etwas zu süß. In der Nase lassen sich Vanille und Schokolade erkennen. Am Gaumen dann sehr würzig, aber zuviel Süße dank Vanille und Karamell.

Overall much better than expected. It’s fresh and sweet, but not overly sweetened. It’s also intense, smooth and full bodied. Aromas and flavors is fruity, fresh and spicy with figs, dates, raisins and tea recognizable.

Ein Rum den ich schwer einschätzen kann und erstmals andere Bewertungen dazu gelesen habe. Der erste Eindruck (fruchtig, süß) ließ sich nicht auf andere Gewchmacksnuacen erweitern. Sowohl vom Geruch her, als auch im Gewchmack eher langweilig, fast künstlich; Abgang kurz und unspektakulär. Ggf. Zum mixen geeignet.

Auf allen Ebenen sehr künstlich wirkend. Sowohl an der Nase als auch am Gaumen erinnert der Rum mich eher an Gummibananen, dr. Oetker Back-Aroma und so ziemlich die billigste Discounter Schokolade die man finden kann. Dazu schmeckt es nach billigem Grundalkohol. Sorry aber nein danke.
