Easy sipping at the aperitif is where this lands — soft, round and unmistakably sweet. Un rhum qui ne présente pas beaucoup d'intérêt, à part pour des novices dans le monde du rhum, ou des fans du rappeur de NTM qui figure sur cette bouteille assez jolie. Au nez, quelques marqueurs propre à la Barbade mais très (trop léger) : coco, fruits exotiques. La bouche suit le nez, sans profondeur. Le tout est très diffus, sans complexité et plat. Oubliable

#5473 12.07.2025 Late tasting with a set of friends and I'm always happy when we meet up. Nose Fresh, light wood, fruity, light roasted, pineapple, spice, light smoke, faint coffee, light citrus. Palate Fresh, oily, round, light wood, sweet, fruity, light berries, spice, light coffee, faint smoke. Finish Medium long, fresh, oily, sweet, light nutts, light cherry, light banana. Empty glass Vanilla, chocolate, light nutts, strawberry.

Notes taken at Rhum Fest 2024, quick notes and a somewhat heavy palate, sorry :) Here we have: gourmand, fruity, a bit of coconut. A rum: affordable, rather beginner-oriented. Finish: gourmand, medium length. Nice discovery.

I'm discovering Carnival with this rum very accessible on all levels: alcohol degree, price, complexity. It's easy to drink. Pastry-like, slightly fruity, a bit of coconut, very round. Too reduced for my taste.

Back on the Rhum Tour 2025 – First stop: Carnival Sun Juice A brand I had never had the chance to taste before! Launched in 2023, Carnival Sun Juice was born from the collaboration between JoeyStarr and Anthony Martins (Old Brothers), the latter having since left the venture. The goal: to offer accessible and festive rums, reflecting the universe they want to celebrate. 🏝️ Barbados Rum (40.2%) Made from molasses rums distilled in pot still and column at WIRD, aged between 3 and 5 years in bourbon barrels under tropical climate. Very round profile: coconut, vanilla, gourmand touches of citrus... but clearly too sweet for my taste. Too bad, the sugar masks everything!

Very (TOO) sweet, easy to drink, fruity and pastry-like. On the palate you feel the reduction with a watery side, that’s a pity. Otherwise, it remains a pleasant rum to drink as an aperitif. High price for the level. Below the Jamaican and the Belize/Guatemala blend

Well-balanced nose on indulgence, alcohol present but discreet, fresh fruits. On the palate, it's candy! You fall into the bag of sweet candies, borderline artificial flavor, it's way too much! Still pleasant but it's a sweet treat, not rum 🍹. Short finish on sugar.
