Pub Whiskyplaza Hamburg December 2025. This Brugal is also quite okay, not as good as the previous one because the alcohol isn’t as well integrated. Otherwise, it’s also quite sweet, with vanilla and caramel clearly noticeable.

#6798 15.05.2026 Enjoying a few evening samples in preparation for tomorrows 20 km mountain hike in the northeast of Denmark. This rum is not something I like that much. Even when hand warmed like you have to do the 1888, it still doesn't really convince me. A chocolaty rum with spices, caramel, dried fruit, nutts and light roasted wood.

This is a solid rum that is pleasant to drink, but it doesn’t have much complexity. It has really good vanilla in the beginning and barrel char that picks up on the backend. The finish is short but has a good nutty flavor.
