Definitely more pleasant than I expected for such a high proof and bottom shelf spirit. It holds its own in a booze forward cocktail, but gently slips below the surface in a more complex cocktail. Make sure you open your mouth before smell to catch the harsher vapors in your mouth and the subtler notes get to your nose for assessment.
