A very good Ten Cane, with lots of freshness, wood, red fruit and a changing interplay of aromas between spices and fruit. It would have deserved a few more points if the alcohol had been a little better integrated, one more note: this rum needs a lot of time in the glass, but it's worth the wait😉

Very fresh, grassy, woody, light fruity and young on the palate. I find it somehow closed, as if it doesn't really want to reveal itself to me. In addition, the alcohol is not particularly well integrated. I will have to look for other friends.

04.05.2024 Retasting during a nice exclusive tasting at Romdeluxe. I stick to my score and I still love it. -------------------------- 14.12.2023 Retasting and I still love the profile. Luckily I have a backup bottle on the shelf. --------------- #4237 Thinking about the price tag you get a lot for your money in my mind. A very fresh and fruity Ten Cane with well integrated ABV and wood. It does need to rest though or the ABV will hide some of the flavors. Draws nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass has some mint and very light nutts.

A very fruity Ten Cane in my opinion. For me, the cherries and berries are clearly very dominant and delicious. The alcohol subsides after a little time, which it definitely needs. Also very tasty as a mixer. I am pleasantly surprised

The bottling actually has potential. A few pleasant fruity notes come through, spices, a slight sweetness. But the alcohol is unfortunately very poorly integrated. An unpleasantly tangy note at the beginning. This disappears with longer standing time, but it's still not good.

My first Ten Cane. Red fruit on the nose, lots of blackcurrants, with a subliminal whiff of Hubba Bubba. It remains fruity on the palate too, but there is also a spicy note, mainly allspice. The finish is still fruity, with a hint of nut. Alcohol is well integrated for me and you hardly notice the almost 60%, all in all exciting and makes me want more Ten Canes, even if it hasn't blown me away yet. Edit: I left the glass overnight. But this morning I had the full chocolate drone. And I imagine I can also detect some incense. Exciting, very exciting.

I really find the nose with its intoxicating mix of red fruits and woody spice great. This is followed by a similarly nice experience on the palate, where you first have to get through wood and sharp spices before reaching the delicious fruits, which in the finish come a bit too short for my palate.

Tasting at basecamp D. 02/07/2026. A little glass on its birthday doesn't hurt. Nor on a Thursday. Nose on an adventure👃: I sense wood, a kind of spice, a sharpness like mint. Tongue on an adventure 🥃: At first sip, I taste a very explosive and intense flavor, almost overwhelming in a not so positive way. For that reason, I chose to let my rum aerate in the glass. After about twenty minutes, I tried a pinch again, and here the door really opened! 🤯 Citrus, lots of menthol, lots of freshness, raspberry and actually quite fruity! The tail of the story💫: A fantastic experience that lasts quite a while! Dark chocolate and a hint of nuts linger. Credit goes to F.Kraemmer for acquiring such a fantastic sample! 🙏

Very nice Ten Cane! Pleasantly round and fresh, light mint/eucalyptus with woody notes that harmonize well with some spices. But it definitely needs time in the glass to develop. But then you have something really fine! Many thanks to @KevinDK for the sample!

I have previously tasted sampels of Ten Cane which was not me, since then I have mostly stuck to Jamaica which I love. That said, this bottle surprises me, especially after some time in the glass. The nose is fruit and nuts. The tongue is hit by a round and soft almost fruit juice. You don't taste it at almost 60%, the glass was quickly empty 😉 Maybe my taste has changed, but this is an absolutely fantastic rum from Ten Cane.

Give the rum some time in the glass, is one of the candidates that develops. I liked the freshness of this barrel from the start. Had some bottlings of the more widespread 2008 Vintages and ultimately decided specifically for this barrel. Certainly subjective, but I find 11-13yo fits Ten Cane best. The alcohol is well integrated, but you should give the "monkey" some time in the glass - especially with freshly opened bottles. The nose tells me dried fruit, melted butter, nuts and freshly polished leather. Flavor-wise, I got hazelnut, some herbs and a fresh note that I find hard to pin down (think the use of sugar cane juice, instead of molasses definitely plays into this..I can see why people like to dub Ten Cane as Caroni light....somewhat dirty, but still fresh). With time it becomes very "creamy", drinkable and complex in the glass. Cheers🥃🇩🇰
