Romdeluxe Beenleigh Collectors Series No. 17 2023
Not the fruity Australian some expect — this Beenleigh leans chocolatey and roasted, with light toasted oak, caramel and a cherry note underneath. Several tasters compare it to Foursquare: dry, well-built, more woody than tropical. At 64.4% it runs hot, and the alcohol isn't fully tucked in — a few drops of water round off the sharp edges. Oily body, long warm finish.
The community says- Chocolate & oak
- Long oily finish
- But: Hot at full proof

How does Romdeluxe Beenleigh Collectors Series No. 17 2023 taste?
Aggregated from 14 community reviews.
Dry, chocolatey Beenleigh with a hot edge Well-liked as a dry, Foursquare-style pour, but the recurring gripe is real: the high proof reads sharp and could sit better. Water helps.

#4251 16.09.2023 Whisky N Rum Show 2023. This was a nice surprise especially when looking at the price tag. A well rounded rum with nice fruity notes and well balanced light roasted wood. Oily on the palate and a long warm finish. I picked up some marzipan in the empty glass.

Then the collection was expanded with a pleasant no. 17 - definitely worth tasting 😋👍

Not as fruity as the other Australians. Slightly less complex, more chocolaty, goes more in the direction of Foursquare. Alcohol could be better integrated.
