25.06.2025 Retasting and I still like it a lot. Well balanced and naturally sweet. ----------------- 17.08.2019 Spending a nice evening with the guys, good food and several different rums. Colour Medium to dark in colour. Nose Fresh, round, balanced, light wood, light honey, faint nutts, light orange, light spice. Palate Round, naturally sweet, balanced, fresh, fruits, light spice, light orange, faint coconut. Finish Medium to long, round, light sweet, fruits, faint citrus, vanilla, faint coconut, nutts. Very smooth rum considering the age, on the other hand this is what Neisson masters really well.

Neisson 2012 – Salon du Rhum Spa – 49.2% Special edition for Spa, bottled cask strength in a decanter reminiscent of those from 1991-1993. On the nose, it's a real success! On the palate, the fruits fade to give way to wood and spices. The finish, fine and fresh, stretches nicely. A superb rum, especially for “only” 5 years of aging. Let's hope the new management of Salon du Rhum de Spa treats us next year to equally beautiful selections 😉
