Sipped neat, this is a soft, sweet-leaning Diamond: coconut, caramel and milk chocolate up front with dried fruit and toasted oak sitting behind. Several tasters call it round and easy-drinking with the 53.3% well tucked away. A few note it "lacks intensity" and complexity — pleasant but not the deepest Guyana pot still you'll meet.

Now finally tasted it again in peace, as I had forgotten to rate it on the GRF and couldn't really remember it 😅 Very tasty and round bottling with well-integrated alcohol.

Little random 96 Diamond cross tasting. For the uncolored (presumably continental) contenders: Precious Liquors White Cat vs. Distillia Hornigold. On the nose the Distillia is ahead by quite some margin. Both are similar in character, yet the Distillia delivers way more column sweetness/coconut with tropical fruits and glue while the PL is more closed up on the nose and more dominated by wood as well as some alcohol. Similar profiles on the palate. Toffee, coconut, dried fruits as well as some sweetness. Again, I prefer the Distillia release which is more balanced with individual aromas presented nicely. Yet it is als more delicate / thinner and a bit more sweet. The PL adds more woody and spices notes to the mix, but lacks complexity and balance for me in comparison.

#5281 28.04.2024 Running a few samples while watching "Moonshiners". Nose Light wood, spice, fruits, light citrus, light dried fruits, light vegetal, light apple, faint herbal. Palate Light, round, oily, naturally sweet, light wood, faint roasted, spice, light citrus, faint orange, light leather. Finish Medium long, naturally sweet, light wood, light, faint caramel, light dried fruit. Empty glass Fruits, orange, light vanille, chocolate, light caramel. German Rum Fest 2024 sample.

Trade fair evaluation. I really like it. Very round/accessible profile with spices, caramel, coconut, tropical and dried fruits and caramel. Alcohol is very well integrated. Pleasant sweetness.

Tasted at Rhumfest Paris 2026. Another Guyana that I quite liked. I still found it well below the Enmore I tasted just after. It is quite soft and less concentrated. The finish is less persistent too. But it's a diamond that defends itself very well.

8,2:On the nose, toasted wood with caramel, leather, chocolate, maple, biscuits, spicy allspice, vanilla, coconut, banana, apple, pear, herbaceous molasses, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, metallic patina arises, dried apricots, raisins and figs, hints of pineapple, biscuits and nuts, Demerara sugar. 8,3:On the palate, the attack is sweet with toasted wood notes like caramel, nuts, dark chocolate, Demerara sugar, maple, pastry, gingerbread, spicy with black pepper, cinnamon, vanilla, meaty, slightly resinous, oak notes are strong, otherwise rum is round, fruity with citrus fruits like orange, dried apricots, raisins, sour cherry, plum, berries, very marmelade like, coconut and red fruits, as molasses is dark with black tea. 8,1:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, with toasted oak notes, slightly resinous, spicy, sweet, with candied fruits, dried and citrus, molasses is dark with black tea..

Oh, drank it while drunk and didn't check in 😀😅 Anyway, it was a top piece. Slightly sweetish, lots of caramel, vanilla, and chocolate, a bit of wood could still be detected. Was probably ok 😀

Classic Diamond with lots of coconut, wood and caramel. The dried fruits stay somewhat in the background. Alongside milk chocolate and various spices. Alcohol very well integrated. Similarities but woodier than the Hornigold from Distilia

I'm surprised, this is a quite fruity Diamond. I get first chocolate, soft spices, and a wide variety of fruits: dried fruits first, bit also yellow fruits and a bit of tropical fruits as well. Its all combined over caramel and wood. Overall a nice rum.

Tasted at UK RumFest 2024. Tried alongside the Black Cat. Both were great and the Black Cat the slightly better of the two. Interestingly both rums were on the list to be bought with Golden Tots but the team on the stall were happy to offer tastings for free.

14-02-2025 Had high hopes for Black Cat and expected a continental flavored White Cat with no claws. But it was just opposite. Black Cat disappointed a bit and White Cat took the win. A really good glas. Would like to retaste

One of my first Guyanese rums. Love the herbal notes on the nose. After the first sip, an explosion of flavours in the mouth that’s hard to explain. I’d describe it as an explosion of esters. Love the profile, with a touch of wood, herbal notes, and tropical fruits.
