Grass, sugarcane and a briny olive note dominate — one taster nailed it as smelling like "an old medicine cabinet." This is a young, cask-strength agricole from Savanna, and it drinks wild and green, heavy on the vegetal side. At 59% it's raw and unpolished; a few members wished it had spent more time in the barrel. Fascinating, but not an easy pour.

And here we have the next super Agricole. Really very vegetal and grassy on the nose. Olive is noticeable. On the palate it is also very vegetal, olive is again noticeable. Good rum :)

Overall definitely very exciting but also kind of wild and boisterous. Too herbal overall for my taste and not something I would particularly want to drink often, let alone need a bottle at home.

Too young and wild a rum for my taste, which should have stayed in the barrel a little longer. The raw material is certainly good, but still very vegetal and sugarcane-heavy. I wouldn't try it again.
