What a wonderful bottle has come my way.😍 The nose convinces with the typical Madeira fruitiness of dark grapes, plus young wood, sweet cream toffee. After a while meaty notes, olive and black tea come in, rounding it all off. On the palate again wonderfully fruity with fine sweetness, plus many dark notes from the cask, roasty, spicy, a slight umami note and slightly peppery plus black tea. I'm thrilled with this bottling! 😋😍👍🏻 Addendum: have to downgrade it a bit (0.2 points), my initial euphoria overwhelmed me. 😉 Still a top rum in its own way.

Very tasteful everyday Rum 970 Engenhos and the best from Madeira Wine Cask Edition (Black ones) in my opinion.
