Sipped neat, this young La Favorite agricole leads with fresh sugarcane, black pepper and new oak, plus vanilla and a herbal, earthy edge. One Danish taster caught light tobacco, apple and cherry too. Round and slightly honeyed but on the dry side, with a long peppery-woody finish. Several found it a touch monolithic and youthful, but the texture carries it.

#5686 21.09.2025 Enjoying a few evening samples while listefning to some Trance from XoXo. Nose Fresh, light tobacco, light wood, light cherry, light floral, apple, spice. Palate Fresh, wood, spice, nutts, medium dry, dried fruits, light cherry, light floral. Finish Long, wood, light roasted, medium dry, spice, dried fruit. Empty glass Dates, light apple, tobacco. Surprisingly good rum despite its age!

Already very strongly recognizable as Agricole on the nose. But somehow not really my thing right now. Otherwise actually typical Agricole, plenty of sugarcane here, but also vanilla, as well as herbs and pepper.

The nose is intriguing with toasted hazelnuts, wood, red and dried fruits, then tobacco and custard. The palate is oily and enveloping, with sweet notes of dates(perhaps even apple and agave syrup) and cream, then spice/pepper, cashews and some toasted wood on the finish. The alcohol profile is reminiscent of a fine grappa. In the aftertaste that lingers for a long time, a very good, dry hint of wood. Overall it is quite simple, but with a distinct personality. I prefer the aroma to the taste. In the empty glass seasoned and dates. If it had not had that pungent alcoholic note it would have been a 9, it sins in roundness.

An aging under wood with excellent richness and aromatic typicity! Fruit and spices are the framework of this aging under wood. Long finish on spices, cane and wood, all with finesse and balance.

Very smooth very well integrated nice texture. The nose is quite interesting, yuzu stewed apple (almost tatin). On the palate it's pleasant but you feel the youth of the juice. However, the green and somewhat monolithic side is compensated by its texture.

Haven't tasted much ESB but this is very good, the nose reminds me of the 105 profile. Pleasantly smooth with a peppery return on the finish. Fresh cane slightly woody. Very nice.

Slightly golden yellow color but still quite pale. Naturally suggests short aging. On the nose you smell sugar cane and pepper, new wood and earthy and tobacco aspects. On the palate it’s round and honeyed but rather dry, still earthy and spicy notes! Licorice and burnt cane finish. Good rum, to enjoy with a strong cigar I think it can make a nice pairing.

Very good ESB, with very present pastry aromas, the extreme toasting reveals the woodiness and spiciness without masking the fruitiness. The 180th barrel ageing is a success. And what's more, the delicious taste lingers on the palate long after tasting.
