Un Hampden a faibles degrés et low-esters. A première vue, ça me tente bien. Le nez est très doux. Esters discrets, ananas, pomme granny, boisé et une jolie rondeur type caramel. En bouche, on retrouve ce profil d'abord. Grosse explosion de fruits, pas trop mûrs, avec une légère acidité et un piment bien vif. Puis le rhum évolue vers des notes plus lourdes : bois, café, chocolat. La finale est agréable, avec une jolie amertume. Facile à boire mais avec du relief. Facile à partager à ce degré. J'adore ce genre de rhums !

Hampden, the legendary Jamaican distillery, which besides rum also produces alcohol for perfumes. In all rums from this distillery you can smell wild esters, after which your whole body soaks up the scent of yellow tropical fruits – mango, papaya, pineapple, peach. One of the rums you "must try before you die".
