Nice fruit and milk chocolate on the nose, but with an unpleasant slightly musty alcohol note. Surprisingly alcoholic on the palate as well, but also very sweet (was this helped along?). While I still find the nose quite nice, the taste doesn't really grab me. Alcoholic-rusty and strangely sweet. I miss the minty notes I love in TDL. The finish is quite nice and surprisingly long, but also surprisingly sweet here. I'll try to give it a lot of time to breathe in a second tasting, maybe that changes something.

The rum gives a light and fleeting impression on the nose, similar to a fruity Spanish-style rum. Also noticeably alcoholic. On the palate initially thin but after 1-2 seconds a lot of barrel and spice come through. Unfortunately not much more and remains quite one-dimensional and again alcoholic. The finish brings no change and fades quickly. A "drinkable" representative from Trinidad that mainly offers barrel, spice, and a bit of bitterness. I can't really find a use case to recommend it.

Thinking about how to fill 200 characters here. The conclusion is clear: this is probably the worst Trinidad rum I've had in the glass so far. Somehow, not much reminds me of the typical Trinidad markers. To be honest, I put 2 ice cubes in the glass, topped it with cola, and downed it in one go. 😅

If this is supposed to be a Trinidad, then it's not a very good one! The nose is dominated by alcohol, as is the palate. Coffee and roasted wood are also noticeable. However, it still comes across as light and thin. The finish is alcoholic and bitter.
