8,6:On the nose, the first impression we get is hay, rubber, mustiness, some smoke, the sugar cane is juicy, mineral and fresh. It is fruity with dried fruits like figs, currants, prunes, raisins and some tropical fruits. Aeration brings out spicy wood, some nuts like walnut, overripe banana. 8,5:On the palate, the attack is fruity, a bit sweet, spicy with black pepper and mineral, as the sugar cane is melted, juicy, syrupy and a bit fibrous. There are some vegetal notes like hay, lemongrass, woodiness and nuts, like on the nose.Quickly it becomes dry. There are dried fruits like dried figs, raisins, currants, citrus like kumquat, lime come later, even hints Piña Colada with oily coconut and pineapple?!On the mid-palate it tastes like grappa. This is very tasty agricole with brine and olive. 8,4:The finish is long, vegetal with hay, olive, fruity with dried fruits mentioned above, the cane is mineral, waxy and musty, there is wood, a bit dry and again some nuts. On the nose: Fresh,sweet vegetal canejuice. Hints of dried fruits. Round and balanced. Taste: Fresh hay, grassy and sweet. Black pepper. Mineral, herbal mouthfeel. Then it dries out. The alcohol is integrated very well. Cask influence is there in the body . Finish: Long finish. Vegetal,sweet, little bit of olive. Dry and woody in the end This rum has good amount of depth and complexity playing in the agricole rum flavour world.

1) The white rum from the miniature bottle (55° – sample before barrel) On the nose, it's an immediate pleasure shock: fresh cane "full frame", vibrant cane juice, almost crunchy, with a natural sweetness that gives the illusion of a treat without added sugar. The whole remains very pure, very clear, but the alcohol doesn't try to hide: you clearly feel the power of the proof, like a tension stretching the aromas and waking up the palate. On the palate, the attack is frank, energetic, with this "raw column" sensation that combines vegetal freshness, precision and warmth. A lively, intense white that makes you want to come back... and leaves this rare impression of noble cane, assumed, almost "solar". 2) The "Navigation" cuvée after 4 months at sea in ex-Marsala barrels (54.7°) Here, it's another story — and that's what makes the experience exciting: the rum has changed personality. The nose seems calmer, less explosive, as if the power has been polished. You still find the agricultural thread, but it expresses itself with more restraint, revealing a softer, rounder facet. On the palate, the surprise is clear: the rum has gained softness and harmony. The alcohol seems better "melted", less sharp, as integrated into the matter. The sea, the movement, the wood and the imprint of the Marsala build a new gourmandise, with a register sometimes evoking almond notes and warmer nuances, typical of this type of fortified wine. Result: still excellent, but different — and it's precisely this gap between the two versions that makes the magic of the comparison. Rhum Attitude +2 (Reminder: this cuvée precisely stages this comparison, with 4 months at sea and 3 months resting in the cellar, plus the miniature of the starting rum.)
