Very high quality here from Belize from Spirit Gallery! Intense, dirty and inviting on the nose with lots of Danish pastry, fried cinnamon cookies and some citrus. Very heavy, thick and oily on the palate, alcohol really well integrated at 70%! Has something of really dark dark chocolate with a minimum of 85%, some chili and black pepper add a nice kick! In the finish there is a fine acidity and beautiful spicy notes of allspice, cinnamon and overripe pineapple. Very tasty Belize! Extremely fair for 90€!🙏🏼

Belize rums with over 70% ABV are very rare, here I have two in the glasses at once. The Sharks is a typical Spanish rum, the alcohol is quite well integrated for 70%, yet it stings unpleasantly and makes the rum inaccessible. Spirit Gallery is a completely different league. The alcohol is very well integrated, the rum much more complex. Maybe the best Belize I've had so far. Can keep up with the good ratings here.

Honestly impressed. First bottle, top-notch packaging and bonus goodies. After 70, you think it's going to hit you, but it doesn't! It warms up a little on the finish, but no more. Clearly a good young wood coconut spice blend, I loved it! Once again, for a first bottling, respect, I've inflated the score a little because it deserves a little boost!

Tasting done in one go with a sample offered. Nose: the alcohol is there, normal 70°! There are gourmand notes of chocolate, roasted, woody, a bit of coconut. And a rather acidic fruity contrast, citrus/green apple. Mouth: the alcohol bites a bit at first, then the same gourmand notes come back always accompanied by the acidity of a lemon. Long finish, a bit spicy and warm.

Strong Belize rum with a sweet-spicy profile. On the nose notes of honey, vanilla and dried fruits, accompanied by a subtle wood note. On the palate full-bodied with caramelized nuances, some spice and light fruitiness. Despite the high strength, the alcohol is surprisingly well integrated and supports the depth of the rum. The finish is long, warm and pleasantly dry. An intense, well-structured Belize rum.

Nose first very gourmand. Vanilla and caramel first. Then more pastry notes afterwards. Brioche, cocoa. It's rich and complex. On the palate, the 70% is surprisingly not very present and the rum is very pleasant. Butter, pastries and chocolate. Pepper in the background. Vanilla, coconut. The alcohol comes next and it is powerful! Slightly bitter finish. The mouth is pricked by the alcohol. A coconut joy carpets the palate. Winter spices. Very good. A profile like I had never tasted before.

This rum from Belize is magnificent 😍😍 a true masterpiece with beautiful notes of fruit, vanilla caramel, barrel, pastry, brioche with a touch of leather and blond tobacco. However, I wonder where the 70° are as they are so well integrated, you don't feel them at all. The length on the palate is perfect 😍😍

This is a very sweet and thick rum, in a good way. Obviously the distillate itself is sweet, there is no sugar added. The alcohol is very well integrated for a rum with almost 70% ABV. The nose gave me most surprise like sweet tobacco, hay and even the gas from a can of hair spray. The other flavors are mostly on the caramel and vanilla spectrum for me. Belize does not click for me even though I can recognise that this is a very good rum. If you like Belize - or if you are simply not me - you might add up to a full 10 points to the score.

🥃 Spirit Gallery – Belize 2007 – 70.26% First bottling from Spirit Gallery, this rum from Travellers aged 14 years entirely on site. Big personality! Profile: Dark chocolate, coconut, wood, tobacco. Big punch at the opening, it hits hard... But it's clean, well structured, and much darker than usual for a Belize. Very good value for money if you like strong profiles.

Very nice Belize, a fine discovery from this young bottler with great virtues who wants to make premium rum accessible to all. I really enjoyed it, despite the 70%, it integrated quite well after a few mouthfuls. Nice finish and a beautiful aromatic palette. As far as I'm concerned, it's all there to make this winter a great time, with a glass that's sure to warm you up! Enjoy. :)

A very fine expression of a Belizean rum. I selected it from Travellers' cellars in Belize, with a choice of all the vintages between 2006 and 2020. What struck me about this one was its complexity of taste, its long finish and its excellent integration of alcohol. The 70% comes through on its own (in blind tastings I'm often told 55-60%) and reinforces the complexity and body of the spirit. Very happy to have been able to select this rum.

A very pleasant nose that could lead you to Foursquare, with coconut and vanilla. Obviously, given the alcohol content, it stings a little if you put your nose too far into the glass. On the palate, it still stings a little, but it's still very drinkable and, above all, very, very tasty. The second sip goes down more easily. The markers of the nose are there again, very fruity and warm. A very comforting side to this rum. The finish makes you salivate, and the aromas linger in the mouth for a long time. A very fine product!

Nice discovery during the RCP advent calendar. So far the best Belize I've had (without being an expert on this destination). The reduction game to do is nice but I prefer it in the 70% bottling version. I'll try to ration my bottle to make it last over time :)

Relatively closed nose, in need of a good aeration. On the palate, fat vanilla, grated coconut and caramel. Good intensity, but without heaviness. Fat on the palate, but also relatively dry. Good length on caramel and vanilla. Very close to the spirit swell for 1802 sea bass. A fine selection with pleasing complexity. A fine first product from this new bottler. Looking forward to future releases.
