Rum drinkers with some experience who enjoy sweeter-tasting yet unsweetened, wood‑forward rums with coconut, vanilla and tropical fruit, and who don’t mind a bit of cask‑strength bite.
Beginners or anyone sensitive to alcohol heat or looking for a super-complex, long-finishing sipper; also not ideal if you dislike wood and coconut notes.

Positive Überraschung! Rum aus Thailand mit Moscatel-Finish. Nase ist wirklich toll und erinnert an den ein oder anderen Foursquare, im Mund könnte es aber ein wenig zahmer für meinen Geschmack sein, denn der Alkohol ist sehr präsent.

Nase: zunächst leicht stechend, dann öffnet sich ein breites Aroma von Holz, tropischen Früchten, Kokosnuss und Karamell. Erinnert mich etwas an den Geruch einer frisch angefeuerten Sauna. Geschmack: unfassbar weich und rund. Geschmack Richtung Kokosnuss, Holz, tropischen Früchte und Röstaromen. Dazu kommen weinige Note.

Starke Holznote in Nase und Mund, trotzdem fruchtig mit Karamellnote. Kurzer Abgang, welcher sich nicht groß vom Geschmack unterscheidet. Durch den dominanten Alkohol pur Geschmackssache, aber im Rum Old Fashioned eine Granate - nur zu empfehlen!

Dieser Rum weckt bei mir Assoziationen zu Foursquare und Belize, mit allen positiven wie allerdings auch negativen Aspekten.. das Profil ist angenehm „süffig“, leider mehr auch nicht… irgendwie ist er mir zu eindimensional

Thailand ist immer wieder für Überraschungen gut. Dieser Rum ist sehr süß und würde für so manchen Neuling den Einstieg in die Rum Welt erleichtern bzw. zugänglicher machen. Ein schöner Sipper für laue Sommertage. Für den Nerd mal eine schöne Abwechslung, mehr aber auch nicht.

Schöne Aromen, Kokosnuss, Aprikosen, Karamell Vanille allerdings recht süß, eine leichte Würze und angenehme Faß Noten. PLV durchaus sehr gut, was mir negativ auffällt, die alkoholische Schärfe und der relativ kurze Abgang trüben das ansonsten sehr gute Gesamtbild etwas.

Auf jeden Fall besser als der gleichzeitig verkostete Tahiti von SBS. Fruchtig, holzig, pfeffrig. Alkohol zu dominant. Abgang recht kurz. OK, aber ich muss keine Flasche davon haben.

Vůni bych naslepo tipoval na Foursquare. Hodně kokosu s nádechem po bourbonu, vanilka, sušené ovoce. Čím déle se nechá rozležet, tím lepší vůně. Chuťově je zo zase nějaký FS, jen více nasládlý. Závěr sušené datle, vanilka, kokos, skořice. Není to špatné, ale rumu není nic zajímavého.

Könnte man blind als Foursquare oder Belize tippen, moscatel cask ist erkennbar und bringt etwas extra Frucht mit aber insgesamt auch wieder leider zu scharf und zu Alkoholisch... Schade. Hätte ich mir mehr von erwartet.

Ich habe bisher nur einen Thailander als Vergleich. Der Oldman Spirits GmbH Thailand Flensburg Rum Company Thailand (Special Bottling for 12th German Rumfest) 60,3% hat ein ähnliches Geschmacksprofil, jedoch finde ich dort trotz des höheren Alkoholgehalts diesen angenehmer bzgl. der Alkoholeinbindung.
