CDI Beenleigh Australia (Plaisir di Vin & Rum Stylez) 2013
Tasters land all over the place on this Beenleigh single cask — some call it their favorite Aussie in the lineup, others find it thin and too herbal. Everyone agrees on the character though: mint, eucalyptus and menthol up front, then yellow fruit (pear, mango, apricot), cane sugar and a little cedar. One reviewer nailed it as minty tea with a splash of Jägermeister.

How does CDI Beenleigh Australia (Plaisir di Vin & Rum Stylez) 2013 taste?
Aggregated from 26 community reviews.
Minty, herbal Aussie with bright yellow fruit Divisive. The menthol-herbal streak either makes it interesting or gets in the way, and the alcohol isn't perfectly tucked in. Fruit and cane keep it likeable.

Review by Dr.Django
Surprisingly herbal for an Australian, otherwise with the usual great aroma profile with bright fruits such as pear, mango, apricot and peach. The herbs are more of a nuisance than adding complexity to the rum. The alcohol is not particularly well integrated. A little thin on the palate and short on the finish. For me a league below the RC, RA and Rdl in terms of quality. Thanks for the sample @Skyfly

Lecker und schön fruchtig, wie ein Beenleigh sein sollte. 🙂

Herbs can be tasted from nose to finish, especially aromas of mint and eucalyptus. There is also something slightly sweet on the nose, I mean sugar cane. On the palate there is also wood, vanilla and pear - an interesting mix. Wood and herbs again on the finish. The alcohol is well integrated, but the individual flavors are only slightly pronounced.

Exciting Australian. It's very herbal on the nose, mint can be recognized, also quite fruity. Lots of herbs and mint on the palate, fruity again and some sugar cane is also recognizable.
