From nose to finish, you can taste herbs, especially aromas of mint and eucalyptus. On the nose also something slightly sweet, I think sugarcane. On the palate then also wood, vanilla, and pear - an interesting mix. On the finish again wood and herbs. The alcohol is well integrated, but the individual flavor notes are only weakly pronounced. Edit: opened a year ago and the rum has developed insanely well! +6 points

This one reminds me more of modern releases than the rums earlier on this list. But it doesn't offer a spectacle of aromas either. On the palate, it shows its strengths with caramel candies, vanilla cookies, sugarcane, and fruit brandy, and somehow herbal. The finish is especially alcoholic! 6.5 First review, not blind: For an Australian, surprisingly herbal, otherwise with the great usual aroma profile with light fruits like pear, mango, apricot, and peach. The herbs are more disturbing than making the rum more complex. The alcohol is not particularly well integrated. On the palate a bit thin and short on the finish. For me, qualitatively a league below the RC, RA, and Rdl. Thanks for the sample @Skyfly

Exciting Australian. It's very herbal on the nose, mint can be recognized, also quite fruity. Lots of herbs and mint on the palate, fruity again and some sugar cane is also recognizable.

...moving on with #4 from the calendar. On the nose, rounder than #3. On the palate, definitely more power. Also a slight sharpness in the finish.

#7114 01.08.2026 Enjoying some samples after attending the birthday of my brothers twins. Listening to some nice tracks on Spotify. Pretty good rum with an attractive price tag at release. Medium intense profile with roasted wood, mint, fruits, spice and a nice herbal note.

Dunderhuts Advent Calendar Australia Nose super fruity mango but also menthol or mint. Mouth: Also menthol, fruity and quite sweet. Finish rather short and slightly peppery. Somehow it's too flat for me

Artur’s Aussie Advent, day 4: Sweet, bitterness and alcohol. After a while it opens up more. Fruity heavy profile but still quite alcoholic for my taste atm.

Australia Advent Calendar 2025 (4). A herbal, fresh, almost menthol nose. The wood and yellow fruits are also well present. The attack on the palate is lively, fruity. The herbal and menthol side, unlike the nose, takes a back seat. In the rather short finish, cedar wood dominates and lingers for quite a while.

Solid rum from the Beenleigh distillery. Very pleasant nose, smells to me like a typical Aussie. The alcohol is nicely integrated and on the palate, what you smell at the beginning on the nose continues.

Beenleigh - Tasting with four different bottlings, 3 from 2007, the Compagnie des Indes from 2013. All very good, excellently mineral and earthy with light notes of vanilla and creamy influences. The Compagnie des Indes stands out mainly because it brings a lot of herbs. However, it also feels very light despite the 57.7% ABV. Only 9 years old, comes across very edgy, but not as smooth as the other candidates in comparison.

Australia Advent calendar from Artur: So far my favorite in the lineup. Lots of ripe fruit, a hint of menthol, and the usually dominant spice and wood aroma is noticeable but much better integrated. Pleasant sweetness, a well-balanced play of aromas - only the alcohol integration isn't perfect. Overall, a top-level Australian.

Smell is rather mild and fruity, the taste is more herbal and minty. It reminds me more of a mint tea with a shot of Jägermeister with a sweet, rounded finish. Despite the 57.7%, you hardly feel the alcohol. Ideal for beginners
