Most tasters land on "pleasant but familiar" here — one Barbados 2007 among many. Expect roasted coconut, cinnamon, caramel and a crème brûlée sweetness, with wood drifting toward chocolate. Very round, palatable Barbados West Indies! A short finish in amburana cachaca barrels adds intense cinnamon and baked apple notes, which harmonize very well here. Dosage not too high... round thing.

#4570 22.01.2024 Once again relaxing a bit at home. Sampling this rum while adding older tastings to the app. This is not a bad rum considering the price tag. The overall profile is well rounded but light. Nose Fresh and sweet, wood, light roasted, floral. Palate Medium oily, wood, light roasted, sweet, fruity, light caramel. Finish Medium long, sweet, wood, light caramel, faint smoky note. The empty glass has some light chocolate and fruitcake to it.

A rather generic Barbados rum without much imagination. The nose is typical of the house, with some exotic fruits (banana, coconut), sweet spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla) and a woody, chocolatey note. A very classic profile. The palate is no exception, with notes of banana and coconut, spices and woody, gourmet flavors. The novelty lies in the pastry side, which offers lovely notes of crème brûlée to accompany the sweet, syrupy mouthfeel. The alcohol is barely perceptible in this heap of sweetness. The finish has the same profile, with good length. Roasted, caramelized and chocolate notes are joined by chili, vanilla, crème brûlée and cinnamon, giving the same roundness perceived from the start. Not a bad rum in itself, but difficult to differentiate in the mass of Barbados rums.

Pleasantly soft on the nose and palate: vanilla, banana, a hint of wood, caramel for sweetness, crème brûlée and milk chocolate. Medium-long finish. Simply a delightful drink all around. Also delicious in cola.

Has a cinnamon note, as if it had been aged in an umburana wood cask. Not to my taste and you have to like it. Otherwise, a well-made product, although boring. Plus points for the price.

Road Rummers S8 T2 - Barbados tasting Did they add coconutcookies in this or something? I don't know what it is but it's not really nice to drink. Maybe it's rotten coconut 🤔 Still will finish my glass though 😆

The nose corresponds to a typical nose of the house with some exotic fruits (banana, coconut), sweet spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla), and a woody note leaning towards chocolate. Coconut notes, its spices, and its woody and delicious aromas. Good PVL

At first, the alcohol sharpness pairs with a pepper note while in the middle of the tongue a dark caramel chocolate note develops which then transitions into a coconut that lasts long.

Read full review ›It's an interesting and pleasant rum, but more appreciated by slightly advanced rum fans. Beautiful aroma and an easy, pleasant taste full of coconut, but the not quite ideal integration of alcohol at the end is a bit disappointing. If you like Barbados, thanks to its intense aroma, you should give it a try.
