Schönes, etwas jugendlicheres EMB-Profil. Durch die HV-Abfüllung und insbesondere die 1995er-Abfüllungen ist aber natürlich ein Standard geschaffen, gegen den dieser Rum schwer ankommt. Auch in Anbetracht des Preises daher keine dringende Empfehlung…

Nose starts of rather harsh but with some time to breath develops a nice basket of continental fruits, intermingling with some classic „Clarendon herbs“, spices and notes of glue. I‘d be interested to get some info on continental vs. tropical aging on this one. For me the nose displays a continent Clarendon profile at least 🤔 On the palate better balanced then I‘ve expected. Citrus notes, vanilla, some wood and sweetness. Lemon macarons! Best out of the 2010 EMBs so far for me.

I must confess, I find this young Clarendon really tasty. Nice and wild with lots of fruit and glue. From this point of view, I like it even better than the older, longer-aged ones, which aren't really my profile at the moment.

A Clarendon that's different from what we're used to, with an alternating bouquet of exotic fruit and citrus, spicy wood and vanilla, pastries, herbs and phenolic and medicinal notes. An olfactory profile that's quite spicy and well-balanced. The fruity, medicinal and woody-spicy triptych is repeated on the palate, with citrus, esters, polish, glue, chili pepper and caramel. Quite funky and concentrated in the glass. The alcohol is well integrated, despite the high alcohol content. The finish is very long, with a comforting warmth of chili, accompanied by fermented notes of esters and tropical fruit. You can feel the dryness, but also the elegance of the well-structured, well-balanced profile. A good modern-day Clarendon, a welcome change from the very old profiles bottled recently.

Die Nase empfinde ich als ausserordentlich fruchtig (tropische und Zitrusfrüchte), dazu frisch und etwas Vanille. Das ist richtig gut.. am Gaumen zeigt er dann aber sein wahres junges und ungestümes Gesicht. Mit voller Wucht präsentieren sich Zitrusfrüchte, Gewürze, Holz und eine starke Bitternote.. das muss man erst einmal verdauen..mit längerer Standzeit wird er aber immer gefälliger.. eine junge gute Abfüllung eines Clarendon, aber deutlich zu hochpreisig

Gefällt mir sehr gut! Etwas anstrengend zu trinken, aber schöner, etwas junger und ungezähmter EMB. Etwas bitter, Menthol, adstringierend.

Decent, younger Clarendon with pronounced notes of glue, glue, varnish, something medicinal as well as a young woody note with vanilla and caramel as well as spices. On the fruit side, I perceive a lot of guava, unripe banana, unripe pineapple, lime and candied lemon peel. Rather fresh. Rum is delicious but PLV not so good

Kein sehr gefälliger Rum, finde ich. Er ist lecker, keine Frage. Sehr intensive Früchte, Ananas, Guave, grüne Banane - ein reicher Korb an Ester. Leider finde ich den Alkohol nicht so gut eingebunden, dazu ist er sehr phenolisch und im Abgang kommt bei mir eine Bitterkeit hoch, die den Eindruck leider schmälern - nicht ganz mein Fall

Ungewöhnlich Würzig ... 😊 Fruchtig frisch mir schönem Funk . Leichte Holznoten mit Zitrusfrüchten , Vanille und Banane.. Garnicht schlecht... Im Mai Tai macht er eine solide leckere Vorstellung mit 3/5 .

Great nose of confectionery, papaya and banana, as well as herbs and some caramel. On the palate, the menthol note typical of Clarendon together with fresh young wood, varnish, papaya and lots of citrus fruits. Overall, however, the alcohol could be much better integrated... Also too woody overall for my taste.
