Olives in brine is the note nobody expects from a rum, but that's the first thing most tasters here reach for — black olive, capers, nail polish and solvent, with tropical fruit hiding behind it. The palate is oily and concentrated: varnish, plastic, a little caramel, lime and unripe pineapple. At 60.8% it runs hot and long. A genuine oddity from Savanna that people either grin at or push away.

Spirits Circus 24.05.2024 in the House of Music. Sample. Interesting nose. Solvent, nail polish, plastic, tropical fruit, herbs and olives in brine. Strong, warm and balanced. Extremely oily mouthfeel. The taste is difficult to describe, I try to associate: Plastic. Caramel, tropical fruit, more fruit, chemical, artificial... Very complex. The finish is short and weak. An interesting rum off the beaten track, no idea whether I like it or not.🤔🤔🤔

Very strange distillate!😅🫣 Olive brine, Thai basil, cumin, artificial-looking indefinable aromas, floral, at the same time like gasoline and burnt plastic with a super strange and out of place sweetness and florality.... Sorry, but it doesn't appeal to me at all. Especially not at this price...

Rum and chocolate tasting by Rum Club Switzerland. A nose of varnish and solvents with black olive and fruit in the background. The palate is full of solvents and varnish with a touch of mothballs. The finish has a bad, hollowed-out animal aftertaste. A very original rum, perhaps to be tasted again with oxidation. I don't like it at all, but some tasting participants did. That's why I give it a good mark.

Unfortunately, I don't particularly like the nose, which initially seems very difficult to access due to the combination of medicinal, acidic aromas and fermented fruit notes. A little more pleasant on the palate, but overall the taste is a little too extreme in the direction of the medicinal and fermented notes.

This rum has got some crazy flavours!!! Very interesting stuff. The nose is so complex I could sniff it several minutes and still find something new. Dominant notes I got were all kinds of olives (most dominant one), brine, nail polish, but also very concentrated dried and fragrant flower petals. The taste is very concentrated, full bodied, mostly I get lime, unripe pineapple and some technical notes accompanied by chilli-like spiciness. The finish is quite long with medicinal disinfection, petrol, rubber and again, olives and tropical fruits.

WL 2024 My UFO of the show this year, I hadn't tasted it in 2023. Solvent, glue, brine, caper vinegar, the nose isn't exactly captivating. For the taste, I remembered my children's birthdays, when I have to blow up about forty balloons for decoration. Fortunately, with the rubber, there's some fruit and always that olive brine. A crazy, geeky, sado-masochistic thing. Personally, I went back to taste it a second time at the end of the show 😁
