One reviewer expected a dull "wood juice" and got the opposite: a spice-heavy agricole full of cinnamon, nutmeg and winter spice, with cocoa, coffee, toasted almond and dried fruit underneath. Another bottle that I finished a while back now and forgot to review. A bomb of Xmas spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and I mean a lot of them. Quite intense in flavor. Perhaps a little too much towards the dry spicy side of things at the end of the day. I enjoyed the bottle and do not regret my purchase but not something that plays on my mind some months after finishing it, hence the forgotten review!

A superb single cask from JM, full of personality. The nose opens with a gourmand, enchanting, deep, and complex scene. Tropical fruit compote and marmalade combine with citrus to create a beautiful fragrance, while the sugarcane reveals great sweetness, supported by pastry, honey, and caramel notes. Although the nose also suggests a noble and elegant woodiness, it’s the indulgence and abundance of spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, winter spices) that captivate the nostrils, accompanied by notes of cocoa, coffee, and toasted almonds. A top-notch olfactory experience. On the palate, the spices take over and lift the taste, which seems almost softened by sugarcane, dried fruits, and exotic fruits. Toasted wood, cocoa, coffee, and tobacco add a darker but very attractive side to the profile, giving it even more depth. The alcohol is remarkably well integrated. The finish extends the pleasure of the nose and palate with lovely notes of citrus (orange zest), dried and tropical fruits, greenery on the sugarcane, aromatic herbs, and tobacco, as well as spicy wood and bitter cocoa, with a touch of sweetness on caramel. It’s a true melting pot of aromas and flavors, as complete as it is elegant, as lively as it is delicate—a JM in all its glory.

Wow, Clearly, I thought I would be bored with a woody juice, but it's quite the opposite. The nose is still woody, but for the rest, lots of fruit, spices, tobacco, chocolate, it's smooth and long, top!

Beautifully full fruity aroma, raisins, cinnamon, vanilla. I'm used to lower percentages with Rhum J.M, so I was quite curious about this one and it's a blast. Full of fruit and flowers. A little nuttiness on the finish and a lovely throat warmer.

This is a beautiful Martinique that I like, with a nice presence, freshness and an acidity that reminds me of raspberry. It's well rounded, with good integration of the alcohol. The spices are not overpowering, which leaves room for a nice gourmet touch.
