This Longueteau single cask from the Esperance distillery is a quite rare selection originally made for the Beauvais V&B. It’s distilled in 2012 and aged in French oak barrels for 10 years before bottled in 319 bottles. By the time of the release, in 2022, it was Longueteau's oldest on the market. It’s elegant, complex and round with fruity, floral, woody and spicy scents and flavors. During the rather long finish the flavors persisting.

Great Agricole. Especially young wood and barrel on the nose, but also some apple is noticeable. On the palate first very soft, after some time it unfolds all its power there. Again young wood, but also quite floral and vegetal.

I haven't had many Longueteau so far. I feel like I like these Agricoles more and more. This is an elegant rhum, that's how an Agricole should be. Green and yellow fruits, young wood, a bit grassy and vegetal. Lies pleasantly in the mouth and unfolds more aromas with bigger drams. The finish is medium long. Alcohol super integrated. Anyone who likes Agricole will definitely get their money's worth here.

The V&B has a great nose! I think of aged apples (those stored cool in the cellar over winter), plus allspice, vanilla, cask, dried fruit, a bit of green freshness. On the palate, bitter spiciness (nutmeg), roasted, tannins, long finish.
