Overall a very well balanced Agricole that’s very fresh with great flavors and a long finish that’s remarkable taking its young age into consideration. This rum, a Brut de Fut from the Carrere Distillery in Guadeloupe is tropical aged for 3 years and 10 months in ex-Bourbon barrels before bottled at cask strength.

Smells and tastes like a young Agricole from the textbook. Fresh, grassy, and young wood. The finish is a bit mineral and earthy with olive brine. The alcohol is quite present. Could also pass as a Neisson profile with a dirty influence.

#7109 31.07.2026 Relaxing with some samples while celebrating that I passed 500 km of walking this month. Listening to some old Armin van Buuren tracks on Spotify. Very good rum with a nice price tag at release in my mind. Well rounded profile with fruits, floral, spice, honey, sugarcane, light roasted wood and light nougat notes.

A big favorite! Only 3 years old and an incredible character. For me, it surpasses the 8-year-old I tasted recently. To describe it, I'd say: balance. Nex expressive between vegetal and fruit, coated with honey and spices. The palate is lively, with citrus acidity and a hint of root and licorice, and a touch of honey. A very persistent finish, with the impression of having eaten a blood orange.

On the nose, dominant Agricole, with a very classic Agricole profile with few special features. Barrel influences are hinted at but only come to the forefront in the mouth and finish. I notice smoke, spices, and wood. Solid rum, but too young and without a real highlight.

Rather special and unusual in taste. Sake and nougat, as well as licorice, green pepper and green paprika and some unripe peach come together here. The sake aroma in particular runs from the nose to the finish on the palate, which is rather unusual. But not really to my taste.

It made a bad impression on me during my first tasting. Much better on the second. The nose is not very expressive. On the palate, it's more intense: fresh cane with light oak and green pepper. Not bad :)
