Overall a great, smooth and round Agricole especially when taking the low age into consideration, that I tasted at Stockholm Beer & Spirits Fair 2023. This rum is a distillate from the Poisson distillery in Marie Galante distilled in their Creole Column. First it’s tropical aged for 4 years in Bourbon barrels on the island. Thereafter it’s picked up by the sailing freighter Tres Hombres in 2023 to get separately finished onboard in Porto Tawny and Pedro Ximenez barrels during 5 months at sea before blended and bottled in 2615 bottles.

Unfortunately, this type of rum is not really a favorite in my taste world. I can't really get excited about it. But for the price, I think it's okay. The tomato flavor I taste unfortunately breaks it. For me, the off-note here.

A rum tasted at the Lucerne Gin and Rum Festival in 2024. A vegetal nose with hay and a pleasant honey note. The flavors on the palate are subdued, diluted and marked above all by hay and wood. The finish is short, with the same aromas. A pleasant rum but limited in its aromas, with a pleasant nose and a one-sided palate and finish.

Vegetables, vegetables, and more vegetables! The nose is vegetables... the tongue too, but in the finish the full potential comes out. Nice and mild, medium finish, fruity, alcohol very well integrated.

Small Herzogenaurach tasting in Flo's cellar: You can tell the rum is young, the grassy, vegetal notes are still fully pronounced and dominate. On the nose some vegetables, similar to the smell of tinder that lingers in the Franconian garlic land. On the palate quite fruity notes come in. Quite a short grassy-fruity finish. The rum develops better with time in the glass. Interesting, but I wouldn't need more of it.
